When I was loving this music and dance first time the "older folk" were all calling it garbage and cheapening it! Now I'm their age these are my classics! I'm transported back to a time in my life where the sun's still shining, there's hope in the air and it's worth getting out there, and making and doing something. Lets not lose that glint in our eyes folks.
So funny how this lady is in a whole bunch of song videos with music from the 60s and 70s and her moves match perfectly no matter the song! Love this kind of music! I'm just an old flower child, what can I say!?
Back in 1969 in first grade, I had a crush on a girl in my class named Tracy. I recall this was the only "Tracy song" and to this day, I think of her when I happen to hear this sing.
Good move! I had a coworker named "Peggy Sue" after the Buddy Holly song, and another coworker named "Shirelle" after the early 60s girl group The Shirelles.
WOW, 18 years after the Sugar Sugar singer Ron ? Dante ? released the 45. I drummed to it during the autumn of 69 at 16 years of age. We had a reel to reel tape deck called Pioneer made in Holland. I would tape every song from CKLC and CKWS from 1967 through 1972 and now I own practically every hit record from the 60s-70s-80s ... 12,000 in total.

This record had a big effect on me as an 11 year old. The vocal style and shifting harmonic patterns in the chorus and bridging sections tantalised me. I still like it 53 years later.
The 60's songs were based on three major ingredients, melodies that made ppl feel every aspect of being a human, harmony was present in most songs due to soooo many groups, and the singers were really TRAINED singers usually in choirs (like me). I still sing not all but many of the tunes back then MIMICING them while playing my 12,000 records. What a blast from the past!
