I vote for the Book of Mormon again…conference talks cover it too in great abundance..then you could cover both of your ideas…whatever you decide, I will be following along. Thank you for doing this. I’m a single member so I’m on my own with studying and thinking about scriptures. I’m listening to the BYU Hugh Nibley Lecture Series. If you have time, listen to the ones on the Book of Mormon…you won’t be sorry!
I also read the manual Professor Nibley wrote for , I think it was, the Melchizedek Priesthood class one year. Many blessings. p.s. I also am what is called-a single sister.
I was listening to a series that Nibley did where he was reading from the Greek and Hebrew texts of the Bible, and had a couple of students reading the King James translation along with him so he could point out the differences. It was unbelievable. Nibley was on another level. I love listening to his stuff. I will look into the ones you recommend. Thanks for that!
Boy, this was a hard one. Once you have felt the toils of satan, you know how you can be led along. Then you come to yourself, and it is bitter. I have wondered , too, if Judas Escariot was led on by political thoughts and feelings. On the other thought, I'm not much of a help as I have already started both The Book of Mormon and The Doctrine and Covenants. I love your time with us to hear scripture, rather than reading.
