Get rid of those stupid restrictor plates and let them race a FULL race. The stage system is so stupid. Itd add so much strategy if the teams/drivers had 160 laps of straight racing, pitting when they need tires and fuel, yellow, etc. I hate the "forced" yellow at the end of every stage.

Its one race with 3 manufactured cautions (stages) that give playoff points to the guy in front at the end of each one. The overall winner is the winner at the end of the race however it ends. Motocross has two Separate 30 minute races to decide an overall winner its pretty different and would make things even more F'd up than they are now. Rain shortened races have been a thing in nascar since the beginning. Just get rid of stages and cut 150 miles off 90% of the races and the product would be better.
It was great to see Keselowski smacking the wall. Mister " I'm not letting up for anybody!" got what he deserved--thank you to the driver who didn't lift. I didn't see who it was but I'm now a fan.
Clint did not get Austin loose if you look at the replay the first time austin gets a little sideways is when he goes down to try to block if clint hit him he would have got loose and went up the track not down
Boyer secured the lane and the 3 car tried to get into voters lane. What boyer should have done was go over the yellow lines, but don't advance and save the car. Lots of people don't like Stuart so don't give anyone a reason to crash boyer every chance they get. Boyer should make the finals.
Come on Junior and Jeff, if you grab the back of a car like you said Boyer did, the front of Dylan's car would not turn left, it would turn right toward the wall. Dylan turned his car left to try and block Boyer and he paid the price for it trying to block. Boyer did not turn him at all until Dylan tried to go left and block, all Dylan's fault here.

Funny story I was actually at the 2017 Daytona 500 and when the first stage ended and they waved the “new flag” I honestly had no idea wtf was happening. 😂 (btw yes I happened to stumble upon this video randomly and that’s why this comment was posted a year after many others)
they would have had time to run the last 30 laps before the weather became a factor, but decided to play bs games instead, and yes earlier comment about the number of commercials, has def. ruined nascar racing on tv. I now spend my money at local tracks where the racing is much better. rip nascar.
