A good nascar race doesn't need a lot of cautions to be amazing.
And this is a perfect example.
It had 2 long cautions. Both are some of the best/craziest crashes this year... People like wrecks, much, MUCH different than cautions 🤦♂️. You think a fan wants to see 20 tires go flat? Or an engine grenade and lay oil down the track???

Well said…This was my very first live race and it was incredible…Been following the sport for almost two years and finally got to experience it in person at Daytona of all place during NASCAR’s 75th anniversary…The stars aligned for me that day🏎️🏁🏆👏🏽

I’ve watched NASCAR all my life. I watched that wreck in person last night. NEVER seen anything like it. Sure am happy to know Ryan Preece is alive

I have flown competitive aerobatics and I counted a 1/2 roll followed by 10-1/2 opposite rolls.
Some of the best aerobatics pilots in the world WONT do that because its that dangerous.
Its not just the number of rolls but how fast they were and that doesn't include the impacts.
I was amazed he could stand up afterwards.
That piece of commentary when the mini pack went full fuel up the inside is the first time NASCAR commentary has explained what's going on to noobs. It made it exciting knowing what exactly what was happening, more of that please it only takes a second and helps loads.
That safer barrier wall is the BEST advancement ever in racing !! Amazing design and piece of Technology!! 🙏🏻

Tonight was my First Time at Daytona. It was Incredible. When they were running around 3 wide the whole pack I was losong my mind. Idk if it was the Edibles but it Blew My Mind!!

Yeah, everyone's worried about Preece (and rightly so), but I think Blaney had a harder hit. Not a good night if you're named Ryan that's for sure.

@@binaryanticommunist1882The NFL has serious problem on their hands. There’s a significant injury, on average, every forty plays. Imagine one of these flips every forty laps. NASCAR does a rather brilliant job when it comes to safety, and the NFL is clearly not fucking good at it.

I'm no rocket scientist...But shouldn't there be flaps on the bottom of the car as well? That way if the car slides backwards, the flaps dirties that air. It mighta helped in this case?

NASCAR encourages crashes by bunching up the cars with plates/spacers. They'd be better off letting them rip to where they have to slow down considerably in the corners. It would likely look similar to a Michigan race but faster.

I love watching different forms of racing. Max Verstappen winning a race by 47 seconds and Nascar are both entertaining for different reasons and when you grow up you'll appreciate both
