- In this video, I'm going to show you how to sew pillow cover in shabby chic style. This pillow cover features two tiered ruffles in linen fabric.
If you want to decorate your room with shabby chic style or farmhouse style, these ruffled linen pillowcases are going to help you achieve the look.

Nice pillow design, shabby chic! A little tip, you should also turn the flap inside out when you stitch from the inside to create a French seam at the final step. Just be careful you don’t catch the ruffles when you’re sewing from inside out. This way you won’t see the bulky French seam or any seam from the side peaking out. Linen is kind of expensive but this time of the year in where I live, we also have access to great local linen fabrics. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, do you think the total seam allowance was 5/8" overall? I know there's a 3/8" for the rough edges to be french seamed but I watched it thrice and still not sure if the total was just 5/8" on every side. I'm using different final measurements so my starting cloth size is going to be different and I'm still a beginner in calculating seams. Hope you don't mind my asking.

Would this work with a silk charmeuse? I love the pattern but my sister is a fabric elitist and has requested the silk.
