I've never asked my dog to speak quietly before but he knows how to speak loudly and when I asked him to speak in a whispering voice he spoke quietly!! Amazing!!
I love teaching "Whisper" to my student's dogs. Another fun one is sneezing on cue. My last two puppies were smooth coat Border Collies. They were very cute.
Hi Zak, I watch your videos since we got our-self an Australian Shepherd puppy called iango (he is now 3 months old). I just want to say that you're a great dog trainer and you are also a brilliant human trainer. I love how you teach humans to be nice to their dogs as much as the other way around. iango learned to "speak" very early, just by following your advice on rewarding at the right moment. I have not thought of teaching whisper yet. iango would like to thank you for making the relationship between us so enjoyable. keep it up !
Zak, thank you so much for your kind and loving techniques in connecting and training dogs. You are truly amazing. I wish I had found you 8 years ago when we adopted our dog.... Keep up the good work. I look forward to watch more of your videos. All the best to you. Cheers!
Puppies are cute, and fluffy puppies are irresistible. I have a hard time getting my fluffy 6 month old German Shepherd to bark, but I'll keep trying! Thanks for all of the positive videos.
Positive communication for dog training is is key. In all your years of training wouldn't you say it's the same w/ humans? Communication has a lot to do w/ everything. Something that dog training has taught me.
I have a 2 month old Australian Shepherd who just learned Sit and Shake in less than a week!! I can't wait till he gets bigger so I can teach him Frisbee I want to do some pretty nice tricks with him. I'm going to teach him sit pretty in maybe two months but I'm going to call it raise
My pups have been making steady and amazing progress! They are so much happier and relaxed. So am I! I was worried they would be riding the hot mess express the rest of their lives. Thank you for the guidance to getting off that train, Zak!
LOVE!! The fluffs. The black ones grow into silky, shiny coats that shimmer in the and are heavenly to brush!! Great video! So if I actually barked at my dog as a demo instead of words am some sort of weirdo. I can now ask for with words now obviously. His whisper can be so soft I actually have to read his lips:). Thanks Piper! Forgot how cute puppy barks are. Kinda miss them.
I heard of a doggo that knows 1000 human words so that inspired me to try to make my puppy the smartest in town. Your training vids are helping me towards this
This is a beautiful puppy, your videos are so inspiring to me, and will help me train my puppy when I get him I'm so happy! Fluffy puppies are amazing!
LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your training methods. 8 weeks ago I rescued a shih tzu bichon who had spent most of his 1 1/2 years in a small cage covered in urine. When we first went to get him he was just loving on all of us. He loves his family and still does. He just hates everyone else. I can't take him anywhere without his wanting to lunge and bark and growl at people and other animals. The vets office was a nightmare. The vet was able to touch him but he didn't stop barking at him the whole time he was with him. He even barks at people from inside the car when I'm driving. Can clicker training help my little guy? He's very smart and treat motivated. He can sit, stay, down, dance, paw, is house trained and sleeps all night in a roomy cage. He's the perfect dog other than his aggression problem.
I love your training videos, they're so simple and fun and helpful :) Piper is super cute and very clever, it was so awesome how quickly she caught on to whisper :)
Zak George ok this video answered one of my questions i had in one of your other videos if you use negative markers? I guess you do too. But i never use the negative marker in a mean tone.
+Zak George's Dog Training rEvolution hey all, The best success that I have ever had was with Dog discipline magic (just check google) Definitely the most helpful dog training system that I have ever tried.

Hi Zak! I was wondering if you could make a playlist on your channel for all the barking videos. Would be nice to link a playlist to someone who wants multiple examples. It's a pretty common issue! Thanks 😁
I love how Zak says things like "this is how you train without choke chains and shock collars" as if it's normal or responsible to teach TRICKS by using corrections. Like WHAT?
@@morph4358 Thank you captain obvious. Good job missing the point and not reading the sarcasm. Is there any thing else you'd like to point out or are we done here?
How would you teach an older dog to "Speak" if you have trained them not to bark? Is this possible? I have a Doberman who will automatically lay down for a treat if he doesn't understand what I am asking of him and then jump on me or just give up when he gets frustrated. I'm not sure how to teach him new tricks beyond the basic sit, lay and stay (which he knows very well)
Hello Zak, thank you for your great videos. I love fluffies and aussies are the best ! I have my 7 month old aussie and i strarted practicing frisbee and he does extremely well but I'm a little affraid. Do you think 7 month old is too young for his bone structure? He seems to love jumping and running. Thank you again for all your work.
Oh...this isn't what I'm looking for....Zoey already knows how to bark and quiet bark...I'm wanting full on whisper barks...the third step, so to speak.
super helpful. thanks. The best guides that I have noticed was at Brainy paws (i did a google) Without a doubt the most useful dog training tips that I have ever tested.
I've been trying to teach my dog to speak, but when she was little we taught her not to bark. Is there some way to teach her speak on command because holding out a treat doesn't work, she just sits down and waits 😂 Btw love your videos! Helped me a lot!
No, but I found another way. I tried to remember situations where she would be likely to make the smallest sounds. I know that she isn't too happy about being left a place where she can't see us nor get to us, and and even more if we are making noises. So what I did was I put up a mattress between us in a room, where I would kneel down, making her unable to see me. After a while she would start to whine a bit, really low but I would start by awarding her and encouraging her for doing that. As soon as she understood that I wanted her to make sounds I moved away the mattress so that she wouldn't be as likely to bark at every point that she can't see me. Took a while but that's the way I taught her. There might be a better way, but I couldn't find one so I just tried to remember situations where she would be likely to make sounds. Now she is more likely to bark when she wants to get inside though, but it doesn't really bother me since it helps me to know when she wants to get in. She only barks once though, and if nothing happens for 5 minutes she will bark again. She is 9 years now, and I consider her quite smart.
Hello Zak, I have a husky- german shepherd mix rescue. He pulls on the leash and as soon as he sees a distraction I almost get knocked down from his strength. I am still working on training him (we haven't had him long), but my question is, do you have any tips on how to train a dog that is very powerful and stronger than its trainer.
I have a fluffy puppy and I want to teach it all of the tricks that you have tutorials for except the stand on back one and I want you to train it for me can you?
Hey Zak, avid subscriber! Love your videos. Video request: My dog won't stop humping! I growl (speak sharply, used specifically for this bad, even dangerous behavior), but he doesn't seem to be learning that this is inappropriate behavior. How do I stop him from doing this?
firstly how old is your dog if it old enough to be neutered and if is not then this may help.IS it a male/or female and what breed?i ask as it may have a dominant personality and want to take control you may need to correct it or distract it with favorate toys/play..may also check up is in order as tyroid/hormonal issues can be a problem also...
For the life of me I can't get my 11 month old puppy to bark! I even tease him with fresh cooked bacon like you did with cheese in your other video. the only time he barks is when we're out for a run/walk and he sees other dogs or someone walks by. What can I do to get him to bark to teach him speak, and then to teach him to stop barking?? Even teasing him with his all time favorite toy doesn't get a bark!
So I didn't think I was going to able to teach this to my puppy because she doesn't bark. Well only three times since I had her. And she is only 3 months old. But I did. I told her to speak and I my self make a barking noise and then told her that was speak and she did it. I was so in shock and happy that her understand what I wanted. Because I didn't know how I was going to get her to bark to let her know that it was speak. Just wanted to let you all know. Maybe it would help some one out.
we almost gave up with Gus because of all his problems. I saw *ThePuppyGru. com* and the videos were awesome. It helped us correct every problem and much more.
thanks. very helpful. The best guides that I have read was at Brainy paws (i did a google) Without a doubt the most incredible dog training tips that I have ever worked on.
I've never asked my dog to speak quietly before but he knows how to speak loudly and when I asked him to speak in a whispering voice he spoke quietly!! Amazing!!
Her little ears when she did the loud bark are sooo cute!!!!
I love teaching "Whisper" to my student's dogs. Another fun one is sneezing on cue.

how in the world do you teach sneezing on cue, if you don't mind me asking?

Really interesting video, really like your teaching philosphy and your positive energy.
Cringe
I believe you're better than Cesar Millan cause they way you train is better honestly, I don't like Cesar's methods but yours I do. Love you!
you are mistaken. cesar rehabilitates dogs and zak trains them, these are two different concepts.
batroll1 you are mistaken. Every kind of behavior modification is TRAINING, so Cesar is also a dog trainer.
cesar is really aggressive and harsh with dogs, and this dude is good and not harsh at all.
We love you and your way of teaching Zak it shows that you are a real good person hope your dogs be safe .
All the dogs be safe and happy
You’re are an encouragement to me! My rehomed dog was in need exactly what you are prescribing!
Puppies are cute, and fluffy puppies are irresistible. I have a hard time getting my fluffy 6 month old German Shepherd to bark, but I'll keep trying! Thanks for all of the positive videos.
We have a puppy (4mo) that is a Black Tri like this one. He is learning so fast. Aussie's are so smart.
Positive communication for dog training is is key. In all your years of training wouldn't you say it's the same w/ humans? Communication has a lot to do w/ everything. Something that dog training has taught me.
My word is whisper and my gsd picked it up within mere minutes... dogs are so wonderful. Great tips in this video

I love lanky puppies that have paws too big for their feet more ^-^ But fluffy puppies are adorable!
Zak this channel is the best way to learn about dogs! Thank you so much again!
Fluffy puppy here to, cross collie and retriever, she is so smart, she learnt speak in one session, and she now responds to a hand gesture.

I am very big fan of you
Looks like I'm not the only person whose first thought was Bernese Mountain! She's just so fluffy
Fluffy pups are great!
Dogs r sooooo smart!! New subbie!!

Zak George ok this video answered one of my questions i had in one of your other videos if you use negative markers? I guess you do too. But i never use the negative marker in a mean tone.
Woah Piper is amazing!!!!!
I am a new subscriber and I was curious if you have a video or any suggestions on how to teach a dog not to be jealous?
They are the best
Great video Zak! Fluffy puppies are the best! How about teaching this to a cat?:)
Why don't you give it a shot and let me know how it goes! Glad you enjoyed it!

Yes, fluffy puppies are the best. And they have puppy-smell feet too!
All my childhood dogs were fluffy!! My new puppy is a shorthair because of the weeds and stickers dogs can pick up in Texas.
Hey! I love your videos! Thank you! What happened to the clicker video?
Hi Zak! I was wondering if you could make a playlist on your channel for all the barking videos. Would be nice to link a playlist to someone who wants multiple examples. It's a pretty common issue! Thanks 😁
omg I have the same dog but with a tail her name Is Sheba, and yes fluffy puppies are the best
Fluffy puppies are THE BEST!!!🐶🐶🐶🐶#PUPPY LOCVE
They are the best a little fluffy puppies
Yes they are the best
5:07 She sounded somewhat distraught like "I'm not entirely sure what you want of me right now!! Please!!"
Hey Zak! Thanks for all the great videos! :) is it possible to get the name of the book Bree was studying in the last video?
anyone else notice the bright blue eyes if that guy?!? 😂😂
The trainer or the dog? Both great eyes!
Aussies are my fav!
I love how Zak says things like "this is how you train without choke chains and shock collars" as if it's normal or responsible to teach TRICKS by using corrections. Like WHAT?
It isn't normal. Even people who use aversive tools to correct unwanted behaviors still use positive reinforcement to train new behaviors.
@@morph4358 Thank you captain obvious. Good job missing the point and not reading the sarcasm. Is there any thing else you'd like to point out or are we done here?

I have the cutest fluffy puppy, I've always thought puppies are cute but its pretty hard to beat my fluffy Rosko
Our pup Zoey is a crazy barker; but after using lessons from Dan at *ThePuppyGru. com* i can happily say she has stopped 99% of that! yay zoey
we almost gave up with Gus because of all his problems. I saw *ThePuppyGru. com* and the videos were awesome. It helped us correct every problem and much more.
