- Mickey Mouse began in New York City. This location is where Walt Disney premiered Steamboat Willie in 1928 to the entire world! The Colony Theatre is the first place anyone ever saw Mickey Mouse and a cartoon with sound! It’s also one of the most remarkable and hidden Disney historical landmarks due in many Disney premiers! Please join me as I visit and dive into its history, on Broadway! Also, the visit and tour of the Disney store on Times Square! .+ THE BEST NEW YORK CITY PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN! Much & Munch Ahead

Some Awsome history right there thanks for having me along for the ride much appreciated
Thank you
Enjoying this trip🎉 That pizza looked awesome!
Dude! You gotta see a Broadway show, they're absolutely incredible. I used to work right where you were- at The Foxwoods Theatre. Definitely one of the things I miss most about NYC, the shows and the food, haha!
That's pretty neat. I did not know that about Steam boat Willy, Disney history. Thanks Jay!
That was pretty interesting TJ. Lots of great stuff around Walt and the theator Thanks
Thanks for the NYC video and with Steamboat Willie! Nothing like NY pizza 🍕Glad you had a good time 👍
I went to BTTF last July. Such a good freaking show. During intermission I was looking at the sound equipment and stuff, I turn around…. And there’s Bob gale standing right there. Got my picture with him. Super chill. Probably one of the nerdiest moments of my life. 😅
That’s awesome. Can’t wait to see it. Hopefully, next time I’m in town.
Awesome video Jay. When i was in NYC in 2021 I ate pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
That pizza looked good. I always knew mickey mouse birthday since my dad shared it with him! Different year, :). He even went by Mickey. Thanks for sharing my home state!
Great video learned lots 🤗PIZZA 👏👏my favorite 😂thank you 🦩

👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you
Cant wait for the special project video⏳
Thank you
Thanks Tampa Jay...the pizza looked very good...!
Great job covering Disney's history in NY.
Thank you
Walking through the Disney store, that Wish soundtrack is so good!
Tampa, you should do a video on how Walt Disney didn't even design or create the character of Steamboat Willie but his colleague Ub Iwerks who worked along side Walt at famous Kansas City Laugh O Gram animation studio.
Again, that pizza looks amazing, and (considering it's NYC) reasonably priced 😋
This was such a great watch mango..One of your best. ✌️
Thanks buddy appreciate you
Wow, the amount of times I've passed that theatre and never knew. Also yes 15:31, that is where David Letterman filmed his show. Also, that theater is where the Ed Sullivan Show took place. That is where The Beatles made their US television debut. Elvis Presley also performed there. The Rolling Stones too. It is currently called The Ed Sullivan Theater.
That’s amazing history thank you
@@TampaJay no problem
Been there smells like old cheap perfume when you enter.
Cool video Jay!!
Thanks for another great video Jay. It is always interesting to see the history of something, especially as iconic as Mickey :)
Thank you
More delicious pizza? You’re killing me Smalls 🤤
Finally a pizza that corresponds to the original
The best I’ve ever had in New York
Nice video, Tampa Jay!
Wow, that's a beautiful pie, my friend! ❤🍕😋
Yes, I agree, the crust makes or breaks pizza. 🍕
Safe travels 🙏
You walked PAST Bleecker Street Pizza to go to John’s. You’re killin me.
I’ll put that on my PIE list
@@TampaJay let me know when you’re next here. I can show you some pop culture locations.
I loved this Jay. I love NY and it was awesome to see the first place Disney was shown. I live with chronic pain that has been flaring up today and this helped distract me for a bit.
The Northern Dispensary was built in Greenwich Village in 1831 in what was then the northernmost part of New York City (hence the clinic’s name). The city donated a triangular plot of land for the clinic with the stipulation that it provide care for the “worthy poor,” a growing population in the Village.
Now that’s the kind of history. I love to hear. Thank you so much. Very awesome.
Manny a late night meal at the old Waverly Restaurant, Jay!... When you were in Times Square? You were at one point literally across the street from where Max and Dave Fleischer had their studios before they moved to Miami! Back then? They were the completion to Walt and Roy! Okay.. The Winter Garden Theater? "Cats" was there for what seemed forever!!! in the original cast was one Ken Page... The Singing voice of "Oogie Boogie"! You even threw in "Two Boots"!!!! They had a Brooklyn location too!!!! Many a Sunday Brunch!!!! I'm really enjoying this.. Nice to see some of the old places are still there!
brings back memories I was there two weeks ago you'd have a blast
Cool stuff saw a Letterman show the last year before he retired well done as always ➡️
Thanks for the video! I love NYC and go every year. I saw BTTF the Musical in December. It was very good especially the end.
That's on my bucket list to go to new York
Good Evening Tampa Jay..!!
I remembered that this cartoon is on Disney plus.
Those 2 people dressed as mini mouse looked suspicious , that pizza looked delicious,. TJ in NY, hi from UK
Hi Tampa Jay mickey and Minnie mouse are the best 😊😅😂❤❤❤❤
My friend Nate plays Biff in Back to The Future on Broadway! You have to go back and see it, you'd love it.
I remembered that one of the Disney movies that was on Broadway was Beauty and the Beast.
Hope to one day visit there, Jay in a few months I will be traveling down with Shawn Kodi to Branson, Missouri, doing some filming
❤wow❤Disney premiered on a screen owned by universal ❤way cool❤
Coming to st Louis when the rays play the cardnnials here in st Louis
Love the vlog J.
Mickey mouse Love my favorite Disneyland one fan BIG 💖💖💖💖⭐️🏰🎶
I'm pretty sure that M&Ms building used to be MTV studios and TRL with Carson Daily was filmed up on that 2nd floor!
Such a great time in NYC. Rick did not steer you wrong. John's of Bleecker is my favorite pizza in Manhattan. I feel Totonno's in Coney Island is NYC's best pizza but John's is my second favorite. My dad use to take me when I was a kid when we use to go in to see the Halloween Parade.
Thanks man next time I’m in Coney Island. I’m gonna try Tonos.
@TampaJay if you need a guide to all the cool spots there, let us know.
See now that is NY Pizza not that other stuff. lol Cool to see the Theatre where Steamboat Willie premiered. I wonder how much you paid for that small bedroom. lol
To add on to the controversy regarding the animal cruelty in Steamboat Willie for years to make it more kid friendly they edited some scenes where Mickey was using the cat and pig to make music
SATCHELLS pizza in Gainesville Florida where I'm at...kinda reminds me of OG PIZZA HUT. look you up some of that and tell me you haven't had good pizza!

Another Disney movie that was in New York at a theater was Fantasia. I think this person should know that this movie was on November 13th 1940 at the Broadway theater.
awesome
Do you know that they filming Sharknado movie at New York City
Nice!
Disney animator: UB Iwerks. Pronounced (Eye-Works). In addition to Broadway, Times Square New Years Eve celebrations take place right in the area you were standing and not far from there is Macy's Herald Square, home of the Thanksgiving Day parade.
Warriors come out to play!
The 3 shows I would recommend (that I have seen) are Hamilton, Wicked, and Back to the Future
Nice
Being born and raised in NYC, John's on Bleecker is the best. And NYC definitely has the most really good pizza spots in the world, due to the 5 boroughs. However, the pizza capital has to be, New Haven Connecticut. That small area has the best pizza in the world. Nyc for the most options of great pizza, New Haven for a small pocket of the best.
Agreed ! Some amazing spots in New Haven! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@13xfilms hey selfie guy!! That's bigger than a Tampa Jay reply. Lol
@@espo7182 I sneak a comment here and there ! Haha F yeah Girl !
Not sure if you're still in the city, but don't leave without hitting up Juniors for a slice of cheese cake! You were close when you were over in Brooklyn, but there is another in Times Square. Want to know why the crust, like bagels and other breads are so good in NYC, it's the water! Yes, you must get to a Broadway show.
Thanks man. I passed by juniors and I was like man that looks great. I’ll keep that in mind next time. I got back last Sunday.
You got check out maddson square garden I saw the new York nicks with my cousins they were playing the 76 ers when Charles Barkley vs Patrick evweing

The Empire Theater was moved from its original location. It was named after female impersonator Julian Eltinge.
Where's the bathroom at your humble abode in New York
Right down the hall. Full bathroom and showers.
There was a plaque inside the lobby area, not sure if it is still be there since the recent renovations.
Hope to stop by and take a look next time they’re open and I’m in town. That’s awesome.
You were pretty close to the pizza place from Spider-Man 2.
That’s pretty cool. I’ll have to check that out sometime.

I thought the Disney store in nyc closed down
Friday the 13th part 8 Jay you are by 1 block away from one of seance of the movie
Every time I walk by that spot I think of part 8 and the video I created there back in 2019
Animal cruelty critiques of a cartoon movie does not make any sense. Animated cartoon animal characters man made of inks, paints on paper and then photographed in no way of any logic are these cartoons creatures from reality.
Jay the pun was about “Playbill”! 😊
come see Judas Priest at Prudential tomorrow night.
O wow hate I missed that
I’ll post a video of the full show soon
@@TampaJay you can hit up the contact in my channel description for some to do's in NYC..be safe Jay..
