As an older person (80s baby) who grew up loving 90s R&B, this song was the reason why I loved OT5 way back when. It wasn’t Hug (sweet song that I appreciated but didn’t hook me in) when it came out, but when Tonight was released, that was it for me. 18 years in this fandom and I’m still following Jae and Su as I live for their voices. I’m old and I bear grudges so SM pisses me off to this day.
I hope SM learned from this but it’s not my place to make judgments on them since I had no knowledge of any of this. From where I stand, it seems TVXQ paved the way for many changes and outlook on this industry. I’m just glad to be able to discover them now.
@@LAF258 judging by the current situation SM is in, I doubt they learnt anything. 😂 But I’m glad you like their music from the OT5 days because they made really good music and they did have a huge impact that not many of the new fans of kpop really realised or appreciated.
Tonight is the epitomy of "when you're in a group project but getting graded individually" LMFAO 😆 this song just blew me away when I was younger. It was then that I decided these guys were it. No one was ever going to be good enough for me vocally. Lol and it's still true to this day! While they are all amazing and talented, Jaejoong and Junsu are my favorite vocalists.
great choice for a pre-marathon 🤣 this song is for a vocal showcase of them. it's always funny when the members themselves wondering why they were given such a difficult song for a group who's just debuted a year ago 😭 anyway i've dropped the live performance link on your community post, it's their encore concert.

Many bands have covered "Love in the Ice", but I'm not aware of anyone covering "Tonight". This song is a vocal challenge. My favorite concert performance remains from their "Rising Sun" concert. Thank you for another reaction!
great reaction. def recommend the live version of this song at their mirotic concert. also their song "begin" live at tokyo dome is really good as well as the live version of kiss shita mama sayonara. i prefer their live performances to the studio recordings. they just sound more authentic and emotional with a live band. also hope you can do JYJ's stuff along with jaejoong's and junsu's solo music
Just posted ‘Begin’ from the Tokyo Dome concert. I did JYJ’s backseat a couple weeks ago and was beyond thrilled 😆 but I plan to deep dive into all things TVXQ duo, OT, as well as JYJ 😊 so keep the recommendations coming.
