- Why Kai Sotto Will Play In The NBA, in this video I breakdown why I think Kai Sotto will play in the NBA and maybe faster than you think. Kai Sotto has been playing next to Jordan Clarkson who is a player on the Utah Jazz. Jordan Clarkson and Kai Sotto have linked up a lot during games, and these 2 players work really well together. agree, he'll be posterized in the NBA. All NBA bigs are targets at being posterized but so what. A dunk is just 2 points no matter how exciting or great looking it is. The important thing is for him to be able to play and contribute both in the offense and defense. And I really hope he develops a more accurate and more consistent 3 pt shot. That'll equalize, if not do better than the 2 pt scored on him via a dunkshot. Dont matter to me if they dunk on him 10 times as long as he drops 10- 3pt shots in return... so who wins then? ;)

Uh, no he is not. If he was a great player he would be in the NBA. He is not close to a great player. A great player would have been drafted. Sotto wasn't even offered a chance to play in the Summer league - which tells you a lot about how really good scouts and GM's think about Sotto.

i feel the weakness of kai is boxing out for rebound and positioning himself when defending under the paint. He will be easily pushed by bigger guys. he needs to work out on those things. No issue with his offense.
Is this another hype in the making? I used to watched them practice in Walnut Creek which is close to where I lived. From my observation he is so raw. Even Coach Brian have that same observation. Lampa and lack stamina and that's the reason he was cut and replaced by a 6'10 Jessie Govan. I'll root for him and I hope he makes it to the NBA and the very first pure Filipino player. Thanks.

Sotto is a long shot to be a good player in the NBA. But he could end up being a so-so backup. He is going to have to improve a lot to be a quality NBA player.

Somehow, the nba is not impressed with Kai. I think his mobility is the weakness that they see. Kai just need to prove that he is mobile enough to guard nba players. His skills are already there.
Just be dominant in the Australian league and Kai will be noticed by the nba.
Sorry but he can not be mobile enough...be cause he has slow twitch muscles which have their limitations and can not really converted in anyway to fast twitch.....Man is either one or the other only......besides he has the profile of gigantism disorder....
