POLICE GUN DOWN NOTORIOUS ROBBER IN NJIRU SHOOTOUT

There was a shootout in Bargmo court in Kirima within Njiru Sub-county after police confronted a notorious robber who is suspected to be terrorizing members of the public within Nairobi region while armed using a motorbike in his hideout.
Ian Omondi Achoki alias 'Iano' is said to have been stealing motorbikes within the KCC area in Mowlem ward and selling them to different locations. Recently he was beaten by a mob and rescued by his colleagues, he suspected that the chairman of Boda Boda within KCC set him up, The CCTV footage showed how he chased the Chairman of Boda Boda within KCC in Mowlem at a gunpoint where he almost shot her if he couldn't escape by running thereafter burnt down his motorbike.
Police started this operation following a series of robberies with violent incidences within Buruburu and several outcries from the public.
He is also linked with a recent murder in Eastleigh area.
After the exchange of bullets with the police the suspect was confirmed dead and A pistol gun, 4 life ammunition, 1 mobile phone make readme, motorcycle reg.KMGB-068L were found, and one suspect Stella Nyambura (wife) was also arrested to help with the investigation
Residents urged the youths to look for alternative ways to earn a living instead of stealing which will only cause death.
