Epic Ozark Mountain Road Trip begins! Little Rock to Jasper! | Part 1 | S2 E22

- It's road trip time! This time we are road tripping through the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. We will travel from Little Rock to Jasper Arkansas where this entire EPIC road trip will begin!
This is episode 1 of our Ozark Mountain mini series and I will be taking you to amazing places!
We will start by going to Grinders Ferry to see the Buffalo National River. During time of filming, it was at flood stage so the entire sand bar was under water!
"Grinders Ferry is a large gravel bar available for drive in camping. The river regularly floods so some areas may be too soft for vehicles. No designated sites, picnic tables, fire rings or potable water is available. A vault toilet is open year round with limited or no servicing. This is a pack in/pack out facility with no trash service provided. No fees charged." -NPS
After that we will check in to a beautiful vacation rental that you will LOVE!
It's called Scenic Hideaway and it's right across the road from the Arkansas Grand Canyon!

Have you been to the Arkansas Ozarks?
When I was a kid, we visited some older relatives in the Ozarks to pick strawberries, which were growing on the side of a hill so steep you had to watch your footing.
As an adult, I've driven through the Ozarks a few times, but I haven't stopped to look around much. I did spend a day photographing headstones at a couple of cemeteries near Marshall, because that's where my mother's people lived. Even though I was kinda on a genealogy mission that day, I did spend some time just looking at the landscape. It's a beautiful place.
The trees get me every time. Arkansas is so green!
Drove from Harrisburg to jasper to get my wife a dog lol. 😂 crazy things we do

If I’m not mistaken the Kendra drive in theater is in Marshall. They have car shows at the drive in sometimes. Haven’t been but planning to go sometime
I've heard a lot about it but I haven't been. Definitely have it on my list of things to do!

The man you were talking to sounded very familiar. I can’t remember his name but he owns Buffalo Outfitters and he has been on Arkansas Outdoors and Exploring Arkansas.
Hmmm. I'll have to look him up!
