Can't thank you enough for this INCLUDING the links to both parts of instructions! I have the original Body by Fisher, Chassis Manual and Assembly Manuals and they are valuable, but tough to read sometimes! Baggie and sharpie will be your best friend when dealing with lots of little parts and hardware!

Chad, if you pull the light switch out, you can loosen the retaining nut. use a retaining ring plier, it will pull to the end of the pull handle. you can push the button on the switch, turn it 90 degrees and pull it out and leave the switch itself in the dash frame.

One simple tip Take lots of pictures as you take stuff apart. At least in my world sometimes it’s weeks before I can get back to working on stuff.

There’s 9 studs in total at least on the supreme I counted 8 on yours not 4 like was originally sad, but I do understand you were doing it for your first time, so you were only taking team instructions from what the last person said the reason I know is because I just did this exact thing with my 72 supreme and I pulled the dash in and out several times

Was there a ground wire going to the light switch?

I am not 100% sure. There was the ground plate that runs across the back of the dash
