Great video, I am looking at all of the options out there for both skid plate and crash bars for my 2023 KLR. These look very functional. I have dropped my bike on the OEM bars (in a parking lot, going slow while practicing low speed maneuvers 😅) and they worked fine. These don’t look too fidlely to install. The drop test was quite a nice bonus.
Thanks for posting this- I just installed the same crash bars on my bike: same as yours, and seeing the vid first helped. All went ok though it's a juggle getting in the through bolts with the spacers and washers (behind the skid plate mounting plate); managed it but it would help to have a friend or be an octopus. I found using some straps to keep the bars more-or-less in place helped.
I bought a used KLR650 with the Tusk upper crash bars, will I need to remove them to install the SW-Motech “lower” crash bars and engine guard (skid plate)? Thanks for the video?
How are they holding up? Have you had any drops while moving? Also I heard it can shear the foot peg mounts and was wondering what you think about that?
They're holding up pretty well. I have dropped it in sugar Sand a couple of times with no issues, and I haven't had any issues with the foot peg mounts but if it does happen they are replaceable because they bolt to the frame
@@FullThrottleJunkie hopefully someone dose soon so we can all clean up the throttle response. You gonna try a 14t counter shaft sprocket to see if it helps get that front wheel up easier?
FULLTHROTTLEJUNKIE is the promo code. It's good now through Dec 31st for $25 off the SW-Motech crash bars.

You are braver than I am. A pretty good test on the crash bars. Good Vid. I picked my 2023 up this Saturday. Great ideas.

I’ve had these on for a while and have no complaints.. install was easy. Crash bars are not bulky.

"make sure that the hole is facing forward." That's what she said.😛

Thanks for the video! Is it possible to remove the large side panels without removing the crash bars?
It's a little tight but you can get the panels off
@@FullThrottleJunkie Thanks.

Did you ever get the power comander installed?
It's installed but I can't find someone to tune the bike

Do you really need a torque wrench and the liquid locker?
What windscreen is that? I bought risers with the stock windscreen. Like your look better, how tall are u and does it buffet at all?
It's from puig racing I like it a lot
I'm about to buy these crash bars. Did you notice any additional vibrations after the bars were installed? Thanks for the video.
Didn't notice any vibrations with these bars installed
Hi, do you still have the original klr crash bar?

Anybody else bought the bars and got on here to see the install and then saw the discount code after? 😂
