My biggest mistake was staying in a toxic relationship for too long because of the fear of being alone....but then gathering the courage to get out of it has been the best decision of my life. My advice is to get out as soon as possible.
These videos are so inspiring to watch. Everyone currently living on this planet will have regrets. No such thing as a regret free life or a perfect life. And you’re still young as well in your 20s, that’s a huge advantage! Time is still on your side! You are way ahead of the game to know all this. Keep going! I support you!
I recently read a piece of advice online and I decided to use it as my life guideline: Imagine you are old and on your deathbed, reviewing your whole life, you feel deeply regretful and sad. You wish for a second chance, then you wake up to your current life. Treat your life as if it's your second chance.
I'm in this spot daily after becoming severely I'll and disabled with constwnt pain, I still can't do alot of things like I used to but I DO notice the massive difference between my way of thinking and time compared to others now

Who knows, maybe if you met before you wouldn't have clicked... sometimes we meet the best people but we're not ready for them. So the best time to meet her was in your fifties.
If you met her early you might not have appreciated her because you would not have seen her value. Maybe all your other relationships taught you something of who will bring peace to you so when you met her you know she's the right one.
I live in hope then. I'm 60 and have only had 2 relationships in my life. I've never been married, have any kids or lived with someone. Everyday I wonder when it's going to be my turn for happiness.
I hope your parents are tremendously proud of you. Taking your time to speak to elderly people is wonderful to them and us. We don't see that often. Thank you, thank you.
I used to think his videos were cringe. Maybe still a bit. Especially when going up to old people and asking how old they are, is insensitive. But at the same time, they are often neglected, and yet so many young people can be helped from hearing and talking with them. Most western societies, and maybe in the world as well, treat older people with disrespect, and ignoring them...almost like a strain on everyone, when they really can be so helpful to so many people if just included in people's lives.
Lessons I‘ve learned (not in order of priority): 1. Don’t overthink and don’t be too afraid. What seems to be almost a disaster can bring you on a much better path. Cross the bridges when you get there. 2. Take care of your body. In younger age it can compensate a lot. Not so in older age. Do something to stay fit. 3. Take good care of people who are near to your heart and stay away from energy vampires. 4. Leave a job you hate rather earlier than later. 5. Time is very precious. 6. Don’t care too much about what others think is important or what they think of you. Define your own goals and find people who share them. 7. Find out what makes you genuinely happy. Sometimes there is a discrepancy between what you want and what you need.
I love this so much. They’re all so genuine and giving us reminders to: 1) appreciate everyone we meet and have 2) do the things you love 3) exercise 4) and do the things you’ve been holding yourself back from doing. These are the kind of videos I need to give myself a push. Thanks for sharing!
These are things which made to not lose hope in fighting for things because I know if I lose hope .I have to live in regrets..so better just think about ur future for a minute and think if u r ready to live like this..if not...work for it
I am contemplating a career change and these words "I wish I lived my life the way I wanted (to)" from the gentleman with a dog just hit home. I will try harder to overcome the fear that threatens to hold me back. Thanks Will for a great video!
Keep true to your calling. I graduated as a nurse 3 months before my 60th birthday. I love my new life and have no regrets. Never let age stop you and goodluck on your life pursuits.
The soba chef seems so whimsical and like a jokester! What he said made me chuckle and the rest of the other interviews were great and I enjoyed these interviews, thank you
I agree a ton with the 63 year old man. I think that everything that happens in our lives is meant to teach us a lesson, whether it goes the way we want it to or not. I would love to live my life the way I want to, but I would be leaving my loved ones behind and for me, they are more important than my dreams. I'm 29 and can maybe accomplish them at a later time but if I can't, that's okay too
Im in the same situation and at the same age. Im considering my career choices and worrying a lot about it. But your comment make me feel a bit at ease. Even if its not the best choice we can stay with our loved ones without regrets later when they're gone, right?
I recently discovered that I am 50% Japanese and I hope to visit Japan someday to explore my roots. I am fascinated by Japan's deep understanding of humanity and the world, and it would be amazing to experience it firsthand. I found this interview to be wonderful.
I’m from Japan and listening these seniors makes me feel home. Thank you for this❤ At the age of 24, I thought I’d regret if I didn’t try living abroad. So I studied English for a year and moved to Canada without a friend or a job. I got a good opportunity and got a PR myself. It was 7 years ago and I recently realized that although my dream of living abroad came true, i wasn’t happy. I’m now trying to change my career because I’d regret if I didn’t pursue what I truly like and I’m good at.
I find this so interesting. We are roughly the same age, and I too am going through something similar. I am working towards brushing up on a new language and living abroad. Would love to hear how you did it! Wishing us well 🙏
I can proudly say I'm a person who makes lot of changes every year. I used to be disappointed with my own behaviours and my own decisions at one point but when i look back I'm proud that i walked away from people who poorly treated me at workplaces, friendships and relationships. I definitely don't have a-lot of friends but have handful people who matter and I'm a glad i left people who always couldn't align with my standards in life.
“Every experience is important.” Wow I felt that one! Life has led me on a roller coaster of a journey. I’m almost 30 and still trying to pave my way into the right career, something that I actually enjoy and want to do. I feel like all my previous experiences will eventually lead me to the right path and I feel like I’m finally getting there. This quote is very true.
Everyone was really happy that you were talking to them and asking about their lives. They were also really happy to spend time with you. I really liked the peaceful vibe of this video. It was a really educational and helpful video about life. Thank you! :)
The past is gone, and the future has not arrived. If I probe on the past, it is like crying over a burst bubble. If I worry about the future, it is like trying to catch a burst bubble. I learned to let go and live in the present here and now. And surprisingly found myself way happier and healthier, with tons of stress and whatever removed. So Yes, this is what I want to share with everyone.
Started watching you when I was in Ghana and feeling homesick last year. Now that I am back in Montreal, this is the first video I have been able to watch. So happy to see the growth in the channel. God bless you🙏🏿
One thing I've learnt is life is about tradeoffs. Even when we sometimes do what we wanted, we might eventually wish we had done the opposite. But then again, a lot of people also never did what they really wanted to do. 🥺😔
Facts tho there’s a couple stuff I shouldn’t done like give my ex girlfriends money, and let them use social media.I had to sell my car I couldn’t fix it,and now I need another one badly.
True... simply our life has two side...what we want and what we need..so according to this . better to see the reality of things..if it's really needed to do or good for us .if we do this then do and then just learn from it and move on...
I find it quite pleasant to take in different points of view from people of various ages. We have much to learn from the others around us and it is joyful to see that these people have a smile on their face even at an old age. Keep living and do what you want, we only get one life so make sure you take advantage of it and become who you want to become.
Always treat the elderly with respect. Life is really hard, just to even get by. And for these people to make it to that age with a smile on their face.. that requires a lot of inner strength. Hope we get to keep our smile when you get there. Great video.
Thank-you Will! I'm watching this from Hokkaido (Japan) where I've been for a few weeks on a teacher exchange. I'm younger than some of these people (but only a little). After watching your videos and YT shorts for several months it is so exciting to see you've taken your interviews from Montreal to Tokyo. The wisdom here is both enlightening and entertaining, and I wish you well with it all!!

I am also in late thirties and have no regrets but I am not as happy as I used to be. My standards were somewhat high but not very high. I guess everything has a trade-off. I felt like a Harvard graduate (also went to a pretty good school) in my 20s and 30s. Made a lot of money and lost all of it at one point. But money wasn't the biggest thing. It was losing people as you age. and also hitting the limits of my career. Anyways, I hope everybody gets what they need.
Such a heartwarming video, we have so much to learn with elder people's experience. In a world where people are only hyping about beauty standards, or how to look younger, how to date a foreigner, etc. this was a refreshing topic. ❤
Man- I love your videos! I’m a 50yr old business owner and love to learn by all those interviewed. So great what you’re doing, keep up the great work. Just ordered 3 of your journals for my 2 boys and myself. Cheers to you and all those that are a part of your videos.
You're unique and your videos bring so much joy and wisdom to a lot of people across this world. Please don't despair and keep up the great work. I'm always so looking forward to your videos. Thank you 🏆
You are amazing! Well done. We fall with the only purpose to see how strong we are to stand up again and feel proud of the force of life that resides in all of us.
Treat everyone u meet as if that’s their last day of their life. I learn that after my dad passed away. Everyday can be the last day of someone’s life. You will be more patience, forgiving and also more willing to accommodate. Imagine u argue w your loved one, and knowing that will be their last day, you will surely wish u never had that argument or say the nasty words. So with this in mind, every moment u spent with someone, u learn to be respectful, patience and gentle to others.
I ❤ when you make videos like this please travel all around the world and ask the older generation more questions like these because there interesting and heartwarming.
I notice that they all share the same sentiment that the things we deem so important and assign so much values to actually have little meaning. The most important things are health, and friendship.
That darn noodle 🍜 man 😂😂😂😂. I love how wise Japan 🇯🇵 is and a lot of Japanese people, especially since the country has been around for a long time. The feudal age and everything. Japan is rich with history and full of culture.
This is interesting. I think I need a second channel where old people explain fact their life, how was in childhood, first love, work, family, war, happiest moments, saddest moments....
Hey, been watching you for months. You are a teriffic young man. Im learning si much from your interviews...and im 70, a very young looking and thinking 70. Keep it up Will. God bless you and all your endeavors in the future 💜
I'm just 19, yet i feel really wasted.. i wish for a family with love snd affection rather than Violence and toxicity and lack of freedom.. not being able to do what i desire and think for myself.. even if I've heard from these gorgeous elders, trying to implement them is very difficult in my environment.. thanks
My best advice is a poem called Desiderata. But my personal experience is that I was flexible in my goals. And to know that dreams not always come true, but their pursue is worth it. Especially if they are the dreams of helping your parents and the good and abandoned people of this earth. Try your dreams ,don't regret later not trying to accomplish them. And be tenacious. Don't give up. All of these things must come from love. Without love, life is meaningless. Love is the currency of love.
Well done my friend ✅ Thank you for being honest..life is definitely a journey..Im 54, achieved and done a lot but I am still learning and have plenty more life to lead..ultimately I have no regrets..the past was never going to be any different from what it was..the past is a reference point in one’s life..your life book looks great.. enjoy watching your videos 🙏
Amazing video Sprouht! It's honestly not only very insightful but also good at giving peace of mind and showing off people that we might have never heard anything from if it were not for you. Thank you for your work!
could not agree more. very wholesome and nice video for us to take in different perspective from people of all different backrounds, ages, and culture.
I’m a Japanese living in Japan. I’m always impressed by your videos because foreign people are so aggressive for their lives. For me, this video is “so so”. But reading these comments, foreign people are impressed by our humanity or something. Thank you all of you. I’m proud of myself as a Japanese.❤
More I watch this, the more I realize, people have it all wrong. They tell you it sucks..growing old...but let's be honest, it's a privilege, a gift, to grow old. We all live and we all die. It's a gift to live every day. Today, make it the best you can and don't be so hard on yourself. Things will always get better! I promise!
The advice that one old man gave about being Healthy is Important to enjoy life is Legit. We should take care o f health since young to be healthy in old age too. 😊
To do for me what I've done for others, whether my children who are very successful, friends, students (I was a teacher). Maybe not marrying who I did, but I wouldn't have my beautiful children...and grandchild. It's amazing how one simple decision can lead you down a different path. Thanks, Will. Love the brightness of your vids.
This is a beautiful video. Next year, I will embark on a journey of living my life as an expat in a different country. Where will I land, only the universe knows. The people in this video are so inspirational.

Walking into any pub and ordering a nice cold beer on a hot Saturday afternoon
The honesty 🤍
I notice that they all share the same sentiment that the things we deem so important and assign so much values to actually have little meaning.
The most important things are health, and friendship.
They are all so beautiful! I really think the woman in the brown coat with the shopping bag has such a beautiful way.❤
That darn noodle 🍜 man 😂😂😂😂. I love how wise Japan 🇯🇵 is and a lot of Japanese people, especially since the country has been around for a long time. The feudal age and everything. Japan is rich with history and full of culture.
This video's are so soothing. You are the youtuber i love
I appreciate you!
Great video! Thank you for sharing.
Always appreciate the advice given by older folks❤
Words of wisdom. Exercise, take care of your health. Never leave it up to the doctors bc by then its too late.
Today we dont take enough time to learn from elders, and thats a shame because this is really valuable
This is interesting. I think I need a second channel where old people explain fact their life, how was in childhood, first love, work, family, war, happiest moments, saddest moments....
@sprouhtacademy - my second channel does that 🤌🏻
One of the best TH-cam interviews that I ever watched . Thank you so much ❤
Hey, been watching you for months. You are a teriffic young man. Im learning si much from your interviews...and im 70, a very young looking and thinking 70.
Keep it up Will. God bless you and all your endeavors in the future 💜
This has been a very enlightening video. I enjoyed it so much.
She is the most happiest 80 years young lady I have seen 😂❤
I'm just 19, yet i feel really wasted.. i wish for a family with love snd affection rather than Violence and toxicity and lack of freedom.. not being able to do what i desire and think for myself.. even if I've heard from these gorgeous elders, trying to implement them is very difficult in my environment.. thanks
I have the same feeling as the 44 guy at 1:25, I'm 31 and my mind has been kinda stuck at 20, the last 11 years went by in a flash
Sprought - well done on your journey - love your work - go get those goals bro ..
Beautiful insights and positivity.
just make sure that your decision doesnt hurt people who matters to you
Amazing video Sprouht! It's honestly not only very insightful but also good at giving peace of mind and showing off people that we might have never heard anything from if it were not for you.

日本の先輩方の言葉染みるな〜。。泣けてくる。。
I’m a Japanese living in Japan. I’m always impressed by your videos because foreign people are so aggressive for their lives.
For me, this video is “so so”.
But reading these comments, foreign people are impressed by our humanity or something.
Thank you all of you. I’m proud of myself as a Japanese.❤
Thank you for sharing this video. Trying very hard to live the life I wanted and hopefully when I turn 60 I do not have many regrets 😊
最後の言葉にグッとくるね😭
好きな事をして生きる!
lmao the chef made sure I'll never forget how to write 努力
Great video full of wisdom, and the making of it was surely a pleasure to the people you interviewed. Overflowing with spirit.
That chef dude is the man..wud love to have a beer with him.
Wouldnt be boring🙏🏿🌃🍻
I am crying while listening to them.
