That was surely one of the best reviews! Thanks a lot! I've been searching all over the youtube and internet that info regarding CO2 issue, but everyone seems to skip it quickly like it's not so important... Big thanks for the full info and for your experiment with this mask!
Thank you, my wife uses one of the ones you call a death mask (no lower exhale vent). She always wants to get out and stop using it after about 15 minutes, and I never knew why. I will get one of these to replace it.
On the market for a couple new masks for meself and her indoors. We are just surface revellers Brian so i think these will fit the bill nicely sir thank you. One question though, how do i go about sizing please!? Regards, Brian.
I’m going away in 2 weeks big man and u sound like u know your stuff from the video. What mask would u reckoned me to get. Full face snorkel that is. Best breathing one
I just tested the Decathlon Subsea/Easybreath Full Face Mask while it was safe it was very uncomfortable as it is produced at a price point. For me the Ocean Reef is worth the additional cost. Based on my desktop study the SEAC Liberia should be safe. The Mares/Head Sea Vu should also be OK as they also test for breathing resistance. I would check how comfortable the SEAc and Mares masks are. feedback which you purchase maybe we can collaborate on testing it.
I got a seac but while in the water it feels like someone is chocking you slightly, i dont know if its from the small tube or not. this does not happen when wearing it on the dry. Hope this one is better in that regard
Yeah, I bought it. The breathe not as free as when you outside the water. There is a pressure from water and it made a little hard to breathe. Yeah a little.. and if you think you can breathe naturally with this, no, you can't...
I have a little problem with my snorking mask, when i swim a few of minutes came a lot of water in my mask, I try the mask a lot of time in the swimpool but in the sea it's work not so good... Do you known what the problem is of my snorking mask?
Thanks for this Brian. Are you still using and loving it? I want to buy the Junior one for my 11yr old who has asthma so i really need to be sure so im looking around.
@@DubaiDiver Thank you so much! I thought me being late to the Party you might not reply. I was so nervous about the Co2 buildup. Have you tested others since that you haven't put up on YT or are you sticking with that one?
@@sabrinam1969 I want to test others but I have to purchase so will end up with lots of them. I am doing a study as to which masks should be ok basically ones that have been tested to European standards. Decathlon Subea and the SEAC masks have been tested as has the Ocean Reef. I tested the Aqualung Aria it was not good in my opinion very dangerous.
Interesting comparison of the full face masks. Air flow is the key attribute, particularly to purge the CO2. It has a very similar air flow to the UK mil respirators. I'm wondering though, how it would perform 2 to 3 metres submerged? Does it shut out water, and is it easy to purge water? Or is it just a surface tool?
Hey men, I am going to the Caribbean the upcoming days. Would you recommend this for someone that just casually will swim not to deep and just enjoy the view and the fish? Cheers lad!
New snorkeler here! Just recently tried the traditional snorkle on vacation and took a panic attack because I couldn't breath through my nose (clearly not a mouth breather 😅) is this mask a good option for people like myself? I want to snorkel again so bad but I need something I can breath from both my nose and mouth. Thanks so much!
Did you also go get down a little bit, like a meter or two and submerge the snorkel? Is there any mechanism in place, to keep dry with splashing water or waves ?
Ok, thanks for clarifying. I think, I stick to regular mask and snorkel, if I really feel the urge to swim on the surface. Was out reef-watching earlier, but not so fancy, still used the old fashioned aluminum tank 😉
So you mean the fastest you swim the better it is because the CO2 gets faster out? Have I understood correctly because I am interested in bying one, sir?
Very good review Brian, I appreciate your thorough review and testing. I just procured one for my self.
Thanks you won’t be disappointed with it
just bought this, thanks for the review, appreciate it
Thanks I think it is probably the best out there I like mine

Glad it was of help. Yes you have to be careful which FFSM you use.
co2 can kill.very important.young or old. can cause death.
I just used one here in the caribbean, it's very good, zero leakage, great visibility
Its one of the best out there

I loved this review so much that I bought one for myself!
Hope you like it as much as I do,
what link did you buy it from?

I found this one very comfortable and easy to breathe from
ok.. now is May 2023. do you think this mask is out of date ? I'm planning to buy this. thanks.. your review is the best !
x2, just bought it but i can still return if there are some objections or suggestions of another newer and better one?! :D
Yeah, I bought it. The breathe not as free as when you outside the water. There is a pressure from water and it made a little hard to breathe. Yeah a little.. and if you think you can breathe naturally with this, no, you can't...
Its not out of date still the best one IMHO just tested the Decathlon Easybreathe it safe but not as nice as the OR
Correct breathing through a snorkel is always more difficult

Hi Raymond not sure I can help you on this one. Maybe it needs the mask tightening or reposition the snorkel so it does not pull on the mask
Thanks for this Brian.

@@ianseghers9467 thanks it's a surface snorkel mask only as it very difficult to equalize. There is a one way valve in the snorkel to stop water entry
Plz answer me this question for This good for spearfishing yes or not good to distance 3 or 4 meter
Thanks not suitable as you cannot equalise

It just shuts out the water. Not easy to purge useful mainly for reef watching
Hey men,
I am going to the Caribbean the upcoming days. Would you recommend this for someone that just casually will swim not to deep and just enjoy the view and the fish? Cheers lad!
For sure its a surface snorkel mask you cannot free dive underwater with it as you cannot equalize
@@DubaiDiverah yes I understand. But maybe 1-2 meters under water is that possible with this mask?
I’ll take yours and Alec’s word for it thank’s for advice 🤙🤙🤙🤙
Thanks for the comment. Its a really good FFSM hard to beat

Yes I expect it would ask its very comfortable and easy to breath from. You will only be able to surface snorkel with this type of mask
@@DubaiDiver May I ask why you can only surface snorkel with this type of mask please, is it to do with clearing the mask when you resurface?
@@ragetobe it’s because you cannot equalise

If you submerge the snorkel it closes off. Its more for surface swimming and snorkeling ie reef watching

Thanks for the review. What size is your head? Thanks!
I used the L/XL they come in 3 sizes
@@DubaiDiver Thanks.
Would it be possible to use this mask with a diving hood? It’s pretty cold where I live.
@@mick2d2 no reason why it would be possible as long as the mask can seal against your face it won’t seal well against a hood
Very nice sir❤❤❤
Thanks
So you mean the fastest you swim the better it is because the CO2 gets faster out? Have I understood correctly because I am interested in bying one, sir?
Correct deeper breaths faster air exchange
Wow nice
Yup its a good one
how can you review this and not even put your head underwater?
Because they are not designed for that. Ears cannot be equalized, they are for surface use only. Please do your research
@@DubaiDiver I didn't say free diving. Just, for instance, to check that water doesn't flood in through the snorkel?
@@fetusofetuso2122 of course I put my head in the water!
The problem with your videos is the loud sound you playing on the foreground, it should be on the background and it will be even better without.
