I don’t think Dyson makes that much of a difference to justify its price. For that much money my curls better last the whole week 😂 thank you for your video 💝
It's true, I have the shark and from the UK. I also got it after returning the Dyson, which did not work at all on my hair. But my hair is super fine, curly and I don't have a lot of it. The shark definitely gets hotter, but the curls hold longer and the Dyson curls dropped straight away with my hair. Also the round brush with the Dyson didn't work, just dried my hair and made it super frizzy. I wanted the Dyson to work for me so bad, but from all the videos it really seem to only work well on hair similar Moriah's hair, a specific length, cut and density. I don't think I've seen anyone else with a different hair type rave about the Dyson. So I would say after having both, I think the shark is better for textured hair.
I dont understand why my shark leaves really bad crimps In my hair and I’m a hairstylist so I have experience so i don’t think I’m doing anything wrong but it’s so frustrating to me
Thanks for this very informative vid. I couldn't justify spending 600 dollars on the dyson so I never got it. But I def ordered the shark. I think for half the price I'll take it and it's faults
Idk why, but your comment tickled me. I think because I was thinking one was a hair tool and the other a vacuum 😂. So I was like how do you compare those.. lol.. I’m showing my age over!
I have seen many comparisons of both of these products, and I don’t know why but in other countries the Shark does come with a really nice carry case with a zipper and a carry handle. I don’t know why so many people have only been making these comparison videos just now the Shark Flexstyler has been out over a year already. I am sure Shark will be making a new model in the near future that have the buttons located in a better location and they will more then likely be making the changes to their attachments and I can only hope that they will include the case that holds everything here in the USA . I personally can not afford to pay $600 for a styling tool. So the one thing I do like about theShark is they have a build your own bundle for $249
I feel like the buttons on the Shark aren't in a bad spot. I don't have any issues using just one hand. I do hope they come out with a travel case though and a smaller round brush attachment.
I’ve been saving up for the Dyson for months now and I just as I was going to buy it, I heard about the shark dupe. After your comparison, I think the Dyson will be the best fit for me. Thank you!
Ok so the uk version has the case, I was wondering because I know I saw some people get a case. I would actually rather the uk version especially for the color.
@@MoriahCRobinson But they are not meant to be the same. Shark pretty much took the most popular pieces of their "competitors" and created the Shark Styler. The round brush provided by Shark is comparable to the Revlon brush. The only attachments that are comparable is the actual device itself and the curling wands. Also, the Shark is a blowdryer as well, which is why it provides more heat. Dyson is just a styler but the Shark can be turned into an actual blowdryer.
@@allisonhernandez3829 not really true. I have used the Airwrap as a blow dryer for 4 years. It's better than any other blow dryer I've ever tried, and I'm counting the Supersonic in that. Yep. I like the Airwrap better than the Supersonic. It's ergonomics are superior IMO.
That being said, though, to be fair, my daughter's hair is much thicker, and she prefers the Supersonic to dry. But THAT being said, she now only uses it to dry her lashes because she uses the Airstrait to dry and style.
Hi Moriah! Thank you for doing this comparison. I actually liked both sides. I think you said you wash your hair once a week, right? When you go to bed, in between washes, do you put your hair in a low ponytail, or do you wear any of the satin caps? I have very naturally curly hair, and have been attempting to straighten it and train it for less washing. However, if I slept with my hair loose, I’d look like Medusa in the morning. I’ll take tips from anyone! Thanks again!
I personally use a silk scrunchie at night and put my hair in a ridiculously high top bun.. like above my forehead 😅 (that way I’m not sleeping on my hair) and I make the bun very loose, too. I’m very particular about my hair and doing this has never caused breakage and will make my curls last until I wash my hair (4+ days!). I specifically use the Slip silk scrunchies. Hope that’s helpful!
I think shark fixed a lot of things because now they offer more colors and tools. The brush tool you are using they now have a round brush comparable to the Dyson and different barrel sizes for the curlers and for me the shark gave me tons and tons of shine so maybe they improved that for the newer ones on just got my shark dryer a couple days ago
This is very random but there aren’t a lot of people named Mariah or Moriah but it’s crazy that myself, you, and another Mariah I know are all redheads 🤔🤯

My opinion the shark side keeped it together looking way better then the Dyson overall you look fabulous
Very informative, thank you for doing the comparison! I actually like the shark better
I’m honestly think that the Shark look better!
Not the next morning 🥴
@@MoriahCRobinson is the difference worth the $350?

I don't understand why in the UK Shark comes with all attachments and a nice enough carry case but they didn't in the US, that makes no sense to me!

Great video but I thought it was going to be about vacuum cleaners. What a surprise to see hairtools reviewed.

The black version is now avail in the US
@@beemergrl3017 Thanks.
The reason the Dyson round brush gives more volume is because it’s much smaller. You can’t really compare those attachments to each other.
I mean it’s literally a comparison video… you kind of have to compare two round brushes from products that are meant to be the same.
