To anyone reading this and interested in a Flexstyle/Airwrap: this isn’t a miracle tool guaranteed to make your hair look fabulous, there IS a learning curve and you’ll have to test out different styling products for optimal results, but don’t be afraid of heat damage as long as you’re responsible (use heat protection, use proper technique esp with the brush attachments, don’t touch up your hair daily, etc)! Blow dryers and these curlers feel damaging because hot hair is blowing at you, but these at max heat aren’t even halfway the max heat of a curling iron. Shark has instructional videos (on their YT channel & linked via QR codes on the user manual included with this tool) that demonstrate proper technique, but styling products are VERY important! Blow dry products with heat protection & hold, hairspray if extra hold is needed, etc.
I appreciate your honest opinion! I also have used these two! I also have fine hair and texture similar to you. And adding additional product is damaging, but one thing that has worked for me is finding the correct wetness of hair. Especially for people with thin or fine hair, the 80% thing doesn’t work. I need to have around 60-70% wet hair for the style to at least last 4-6 hours without any product. Which is sufficient sustaining for an event with less damage and no product. Again it works for me but dunno if it will work for you or others, as many factors affect in styling I guess. But do give it another try!
Use a heat protectant and styling product with some hold. Clip or roll the curls to help them set. Also shouldnt be using any of the brushes to dry hair initially. Skin can scald at 105+ degrees F. Hair damages at 300+ degrees F.
Yes you are absolutely right ! I have a Dyson- love it. My hair are straight, I use any drugstore heating product it stays. And hair from metal is worst - but air wrap (am not certain about shark) it has air flow which doesn’t damages much
Does the cool shot on the Shark actually get cool like Dyson or is it more warm than cool? I had that issue with Revlon style where whenever I changed to cool shot it was never cool it was still warm because it was so hot. Dyson got nice and cool
I have watched countless reviews on the Dyson and the Shark Flex Style. I own both of them and have for a while. This was the most introspective review that I have watched and I've watched quite a few videos. I think the point that really resonated with me is that if you're going to use either one of those hot tools at the highest heat setting (to create a hopefully longer lasting curl) it's no kinder than a flat iron or curling wand/curling iron. I appreciated your perspective.
Just chiming in to say this is misinformation, in case anyone else reads this and feels worried. Shark claims these are their heat settings: “Low - 55C / 131F Medium - 75C / 167F High - 95C / 203F” Curling irons and flat irons can reach over 400-450F. These curlers feel hot because they blow hot hair at you, but they get way less hot than actual irons. Just use a good heat protection product, and don’t use a tool like the Flexstyle too often or for too long!
unless i missed it you didn't use any kind of product to smooth your hair before brushing it, esp if your hair is dry. that might've been why there was so much breakage.
U need lil bit of product no matter what to keep the curls longer whatever tool u use dear. I have dyson air wrap and thin hair medium length but it gives me blow dry look after wash with less heat. It’s worth.
Hi Keerat Di, Can you please make an another informative video on ‘how you file tax’ either on this channel or on your vlogging channel please & thank you so much
I bought the Dyson because of the smoothing brushes and they were such a huge disappointment!! My hair was so frizzy afterwards. I couldn't return it fast enough.

I have tried with 50-60 % wet hair too, but it’s the same it doesn’t last long on my hair.
Thanks for sharing your experience ❤️❤️

Your hair is beautiful. Try a styling cream before using wands and make sure hair is a little damp. Even on high, not as bad as flat or curling iron
I would also leave the curls to sit for a long as possible before touching them/running fingers through them.
