Plus, if you work with someone for very long periods of time a certain intimate knowledge comes with it and that is also visible when people are together. I have a friend we used to be neighbours , we had zero chemistry and never would have wanted to be a couple, at least, I am sure of myself, but spending quite a bit of time together, knowing each other and sharing in talking and experiences, learning each other's sense of humour got us look like we were more than friends. And we have never been and we did not act in films as couples, we are simply friends. So, yes, it is possible to look, and seem and even in a sense be intimate they way you behave with someone if you know that one very well, without actually being together as a couple.
