The one that was constructed of timber but covered with concrete blocks to give that perfect industrial design look.

This is awesome my only suggestion would have been to use some acetone to remove the residual styro. Either way awesome man.

Next time, instead of tearing the foam off, try acetone in a spray bottle
the real trick is to not use foam for things that need a nice finish. ha

Probably should've painted the polystyrene in paint, then, it would've had a smooth finish from the start. Heck, with a bit of elbow grease, it would have a glass finish. Well, as close as possible, concrete heats up when it cures, so it would probably crack in a few places (the polystyrene finish).

Can you tell us what exactly you mixed in the concrete? Fiber, Cement and what?
What kind of welder do you have? It seems to lay down a good weld.. (make/model)

Cool you where not scared of braking it a fer rebars would not be wrong but i f love the design special with the wood and glass inside.

Great Job. It would be also entertaining if you just blasted with your propane torch to burn off the foam and leave nothing but concrete. What about staining the concrete with acid... I bet that will look bad ass.

i'm surprised you don't have some kind of over engineered concrete vibrator. like one with a led weight attached to a motor that was cast with a maximum size crucible from your foundry.... and powered with a VW engine.

Interesting that he holds the parts together with his bare fingers while welding them. I wonder if he can feel the heat. Pretty sure that I would not be able to do that :)
