Great review👍 I have Airmax scopes mounted on all my HW springers. That are twelve of them and never had an issue. Prefer the Aimax more than the Vantage because of the finer cross hair and half mill dots. Maybe you should have mention the fixed power SWFA SS series scopes. Those are superb scopes and very well build. The SWFA is my first choice in fixed power hunting scope because you'll never mess up with the hold over on different power settings, easy AO access on the eye piece and dead on with range finding. 👌Cheers!
Ive got Hawke, MTC, Riton, Vector and Arken, like them all. All MRAD and a split of SFP and FFP. Good optics make such a difference to the shooting experience! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much for sharing the video with us all,I enjoyed it it's very informative and helpful I'm looking forward to your next offering, kind regards,Phil.
Hello Jeff, never tried a Vector Optics Veyron? Low cost and absolutely very clear. 4 of my 7 scopes are VO... We'll be at Duxford Sunday 21st. Keep up the good work mate!
Great channel I’m a big Optisan fan my self I’ve 4 at the moment a EVX 3-13x44 a ES 10x44 EVX 4-16x44 CP 3-12x32 my next scope will be a SWFA 10x42 I really like a fixed 10x
Wulf Fireball, front end focus with a throw lever, throw lever on the zoom. RWS Hobby @25 yards .22 Airacuda max = a very neat, easy to measure 7.5mm hole (first 3 shots went through the same 5.5mm hole).
Fantastic informative video thanks for sharing , I'm a big fan of fixed mag scopes , at present my go to scope is a swfa 10x42 , shame you haven't got one to include in your reviews , Optically and mechanically they are second to none from a price point of view
Yes a little bit pricey , That said I own a couple of the optisan CP scopes , the fixed 10 and the variable , Brilliant little things , Your comment about the fixed 10 being a bit brighter and sharper is spot on ,, Both great scopes
Something to consider with these entry level scopes is that they are not all made equal. So you can buy the same scopes but the rets will be different. I have had a few CP’s and the rets have all been slightly different in terms of thickness
That's interesting. I spoke with a shooter who had the opportunity to test a pre-production model. His opinion was that it was much better than the one that came to market. 🤔
Personal bug bear of mine is mismatched turrets and ret. If you have a mil dot ret you ideally should have mil turrets not Moa and on my traditional scopes I prefer ffp so sim points stay the same and if I’m zeroing and off by 1/2 a mil dot just adjust by 5 clicks
Personally, I don't find the mismatch an issue as I'm shooting at a fixed mag and fixed focus. I like a mil ret for bracketing and a moa turret for finer zero adjustment. 🙂👍
Sorry, I'm confused by your comment. The adjustable left turrets adjust the focus of the objective lens and are marked for focus range. Hawke and other manufacturers list their scopes as 'SF' or 'side focus models!
I always use a torque driver set well below the recommended settings so I know they're not too tight. From what Hawke said there's obviously an issue with the scope.

Thanks for sharing, I'll check those out. 👍
Nice overview of your scopes. So much choice these days and personal preferences that you could go on reviewing for months.👍
Yes, and all pretty good. Not that much to choose between them. 👍

Certainly do! 🙂👍

Thanks. I've only ever had a quick look through a Veyron at a show, never shot with one. I've read and heard good things though. 🙂👍

I'm not familiar with that brand. I just checked it out; looks good and an interesting focus arrangement. Little bit pricey for me though. 🙂

Yo, how about showing your scopes in a woodland setting in a typical HFT course ? No one else is doing it. That would be banging !
Hi Steven, it took so long to film that segment. I hate to think how much longer it would've taken had I not been at home. 😄
Nice comparison video mate, thank you. 8-)
My pleasure! 🙂👍
Thanks Jeff. Just upgraded to Optisan 4-16x40F1. Nice and compact. Looks sexy on my Epic Two 😂🤣. Love your channel x
Cheers! 🙂👍

Glad you liked it! 🙂👍
My rule of thumb is to spend 2/3 of your budget on the gun and 1/3 on a sight. But 50/50 would not be excessive.
Unless you shoot FT when you could spend twice as much on a scope as the rifle! 😄
There is certainly some 'heirloom quality' optics out there I hope my children appreciate my modest collection. @hftshooter

@@hftshooter fair enough but turret should always match ret imo an the finer adjustments are minimal tbh
Keeps calling left turret a focus turret, those aren't for parallax?

If having your scope ring close to turrets affects focus that would suggest to me the rings are over tight
