If you You press the cast button on a TH-cam video (not using the Chromecast end) from your phone your phone should act as a remote for RW and FF playback ability I thought, if you're casting it from your phone you can't RR it or FF it using the TV remote those are my findings I love your review by the way 😁

I bought this TV a few months ago as a bedroom TV. I've liked it just fine. My best friend is using an 11 year old 32" Samsung that's finally giving out so I'm giving this one to her for Christmas. Reading reviews online really bummed me out about giving her something "mediocre" but I don't have the extra cash for something brand new. Your perspective on it really made me feel better about it. It's a perfectly fine TV for average use, especially in a smaller space.

I have a really nice tv in my living room and I bought this for my garage and in some ways the picture quality is just as nice and at times even nicer than my 4k tv. i think the 1080p while not as detailed, the colors are more contrasty and it makes it look super clear. Hello Bill. Thank you so much for watching and the kind words. After a year (it’ll be 2 soon) still going good and the pause feature is fine and working. The colors are stunning and sometimes depending on what I watch it looks like 4K. The updates to the tv are more inside like smartcast. They are consistently added new things and apps and the app has had a nice update as well. Thanks again.
the vents in the back are for the cooling the speakers fire down on whatever stand its on i own this exact model and know it inside out look under the base were the legs are next to it are the speakers
It's the best 1080p TV left. So, the 1080 - which is still a lot of content - is actually more detailed than on a 4k. And there's also less stutter and other issues. But you don't get the colors, contrast ratio and local dimming of an expensive 4k.

I had the v405 h19, it's very similar to this one but mine had quality issues. The power plug in the back was loose and the tv would randomly shut off on its own. I went back to my old Vizio from 2011 and added a Roku box .
Hello. Thanks for watching. Sorry that happen to you. I haven’t had any shut off problems but lately and it’s not often but I would have turn it on and off to get it on. Not sure why but again it’s not often. Yeah having another source like a Roku box or fire stick is better than the channels from the tv. Hope you have a good day.
I ordered the 32" version for the low low lol. I was pondering about the 4k stuff as well..but like you said. I don't have that 4K money. This tv is just going to be for me to play xbox primarily.
Oh, I the fact that its a smart tv will allow me to free up space on the firestick since I can just access apps like pluto and tubi from the tv. I can just use the firestick for all the jailbroken apps.
Hello there. I recommend the highest speed you can find. The tv is constantly changing and adding more features so having the best internet would be ideal. I don’t know any particular brand and I wouldn’t suggest mind lol but if you can find one that won’t hurt the bank and it’s fast I would love to know. Thanks for watching!!
@@ShantalRhodes yup yup.. I just love my tv.. even though I dont use many of the apps installed. I have my computer connected to one of the hdmi ports. So it is very convieniant when I do image editing and such.. I also have an older apple computer that I have hooked to it as well.. the reason I have it is only for one reason... His name was Prince.. and his CD set has special features only playable on my macbook's.

Immediately to the right of OK button you can press and fast forward; Immediately to the left of OK, you can rewind. If you haven't already found these features - hope this helps.
I format my own tv shows and movies in mp4 and stream them from my external hard drive that’s connected to my Samsung Q60B QLED 55 inch TV. It’s like having my own personal Netflix. 😂

Hi Di’amyn thanks for watching. It does lag but in my experience it depends on what you are watching. After playing around with it more I found that if i use the screen mirroring feature i do experience lagging but if i watch like hbo max through chromecast or airplay I don’t experience any lag. @@ShantalRhodes Hi! it does help a lot ! I use my Roku and chrome cast now . So I mostly use netflix , Hulu, Disney + & youtube . Just was nervous because people were making it seem as of the whole tv lagged in general when doing anything . I don’t think I’ll use screen mirroring as often so that won’t bother me lol. As long as it’s not the whole TV
@@mermaidDS I found that the in house apps like Hulu/Disney +/ Amazon work fine. But I do like using the airplay and chromecast just for different things. If you get this hope you enjoy it 😊
Get the signal closer to the TV or get a WIFI extender and make sure to get it in as clear view of the modem and router as you can. Signals have to travel through walls and that lowers the signal strength, straight signals work way better. Should have a signal strength indicator in the settings so you know where you can put the TV to get a better signal. Am A+ Computer Specialist Certified since 2001 and also fix electronics. Hope this helps, thinking of getting this TV and I have bunch of extenders everywhere in the house and tablets, computers, laptops, cell phones work better with them.
Does anyone know why, when playing a game on my Vizio smart TV, everything becomes incredibly sharp if I'm using a static menu or not changing the camera angle or moving around? But the sharpness disappears when I start moving around in the game or scrolling through the menu? Then all the sharpness returns a second after the motion stops and bothers my eyes..
Hello there. I’m not sure about this issue I haven’t played a game on here. The only thing I can think of is if you go to your tv settings and go to picture and change the picture mode. I know there is a game mode on there but see what you like and change it to your liking. Hope this helps.

You are great but I got this TV and think I got a bad draw. Turns itself off constantly. Won’t cast consistently. Turns ON on its own. Lol literally insane. I msg’d Vizio to see if they can make this right. Mine is legit possessed.
Hey there. Sorry to hear this. I would be a little freaked out if mine did this lol. But if I can ask When it turns itself off does it go to the SmartCast section? If so I believe it’s a timer and you can turn it off in the settings ( I think it’s the energy saving on). The cast I know for mine it depends how strong of a connection I have. @@ShantalRhodes very welcome ❤️ I found a tossed out Vizio 43" flat screen TV. Think it's a few years old. Seems to work, but the upper portion seems darker, not as much back light. I'm guessing that the LED lights are going out. Also found an LG OLED 65" TV. Think it works okay but haven't tested it yet. Hugs ❤️🤗
@j.lietka9406 I see. I know with the older model I had I had trouble with the backlight. With this newer version they have an option to manually change the setting. I hope the LG works!!
@@ShantalRhodes for a kind of hobby I look for electronics in dumpsters and curbside stuff! PCs laptops Chromebooks gaming systems tablets... The 43" Vizio I found doesn't have a lot of HDMI ports - just 2, and some RCA cable ports. Think this TV was for Cable channel service. Hugs 🤗😘

The most annoying thing is you cannot add a new app on smartcast. You have to reinstall it every time to get to it. Since I am using Tablo as a dvr/live tv this is a real pain.

@@ShantalRhodes I just purchased the 24 inch d series an I live in my van so internet is out of the question all I gave is my android phone I cant get past the part where it ssys choose a wifi I had a 32 in Samsung' mp5 monitor I had in my other van an hate myself for letting it go wth the van it was judt a ine button touch an it was linked to my phone I .used what's called smart view in the tool bar on my phone when u pull down from the top of ur phone screen so I'm not very computer savvy can you please please please help me with whst I'm doing wrong
Hello Loyd. Wow okay this is a little different situation but maybe your phone isn’t a strong source for WiFi. I would recommend finding a portable Wi-Fi device. I know on TH-cam you will be able to find someone in your same situation especially the van community on there. I’m sorry I can’t be of better help but I hope this helps.

Hey there so I looked it up and it said there's a HDMI 2.1 port with variable refresh rate, but the panel maxes out at 60Hz. I hope this helps have a good one.
Hey Simone. If you are using a cable box or any other box you have to use a HDMI cord. I use a Phillips and there a good price at target or Walmart. Also when you go to settings and go to picture you can see other options there that might help. Let me know if it’s fixed and you can also check support.vizio.com as well.

Hey Genesis. I’ve experience this as well. When I looked it up it said re-buffering caused by internet connection. I’ll exit out the app, wait a few seconds and try it again. Like I said I don’t have the best internet and I use chrome cast or airplay more then using the app on SmartCast (the app on the Tv). Vizio added HBO not to long ago so it might be on their part. I hope this helps and let me know if you need help.
I connect my tv threw my hotspot on my phone since I am up on a mountain.. got good cell signal but no cable or dsl here .. I dont have any lag.. you might run a speed test on your connection.. it could be that is the problem.. interferance from other things in your home might be causing your lag as well.. try moving the tv to a different location in the room...

This is not a review because you've never reviewed nor mentioned anything the picture quality of the TV. All you talked about was the apps! That's not a review of a TV because TVs has more to review than the apps. People are more interested in the picture quality. Consumers really doesn't care about the apps because, they buy TVs for the picture quality.
You are so funny. I don't think it's the internet but it's probably the processor and internals of the TV that's why it's better to save up and after research get one with good internals like L G or Samsung.

Try casting from your phone or tablet to your tv.. you can use the fast forward rewind pause on your phone or tablet instead of threw the tv app..

Hi Di’amyn thanks for watching. It does lag but in my experience it depends on what you are watching. After playing around with it more I found that if i use the screen mirroring feature i do experience lagging but if i watch like hbo max through chromecast or airplay I don’t experience any lag. Just was nervous because people were making it seem as of the whole tv lagged in general when doing anything . I don’t think I’ll use screen mirroring as often so that won’t bother me lol. Get the signal closer to the TV or get a WIFI extender and make sure to get it in as clear view of the modem and router as you can. Signals have to travel through walls and that lowers the signal strength, straight signals work way better. Should have a signal strength indicator in the settings so you know where you can put the TV to get a better signal. Am A+ Computer Specialist Certified since 2001 and also fix electronics. Hope this helps, thinking of getting this TV and I have bunch of extenders everywhere in the house and tablets, computers, laptops, cell phones work better with them.
Does anyone know why, when playing a game on my Vizio smart TV, everything becomes incredibly sharp if I'm using a static menu or not changing the camera angle or moving around? But the sharpness disappears when I start moving around in the game or scrolling through the menu? Then all the sharpness returns a second after the motion stops and bothers my eyes..
Hello there. I’m not sure about this issue I haven’t played a game on here. The only thing I can think of is if you go to your tv settings and go to picture and change the picture mode. I know there is a game mode on there but see what you like and change it to your liking. Hope this helps.

You are great but I got this TV and think I got a bad draw. Turns itself off constantly. Won’t cast consistently. Turns ON on its own. Lol literally insane. I msg’d Vizio to see if they can make this right. Mine is legit possessed.
Hey there. Sorry to hear this. I would be a little freaked out if mine did this lol. But if I can ask When it turns itself off does it go to the SmartCast section? If so I believe it’s a timer and you can turn it off in the settings ( I think it’s the energy saving on). The cast I know for mine it depends how strong of a connection I have. @@ShantalRhodes very welcome ❤️ I found a tossed out Vizio 43" flat screen TV. Think it's a few years old. Seems to work, but the upper portion seems darker, not as much back light. I'm guessing that the LED lights are going out. Also found an LG OLED 65" TV. Think it works okay but haven't tested it yet. Hugs ❤️🤗
@j.lietka9406 I see. I know with the older model I had I had trouble with the backlight. With this newer version they have an option to manually change the setting. I hope the LG works!!
@@ShantalRhodes for a kind of hobby I look for electronics in dumpsters and curbside stuff! PCs laptops Chromebooks gaming systems tablets... The 43" Vizio I found doesn't have a lot of HDMI ports - just 2, and some RCA cable ports. Think this TV was for Cable channel service. Hugs 🤗😘

The most annoying thing is you cannot add a new app on smartcast. You have to reinstall it every time to get to it. Since I am using Tablo as a dvr/live tv this is a real pain.

@@ShantalRhodes I just purchased the 24 inch d series an I live in my van so internet is out of the question all I gave is my android phone I cant get past the part where it ssys choose a wifi I had a 32 in Samsung' mp5 monitor I had in my other van an hate myself for letting it go wth the van it was judt a ine button touch an it was linked to my phone I .used what's called smart view in the tool bar on my phone when u pull down from the top of ur phone screen so I'm not very computer savvy can you please please please help me with whst I'm doing wrong
Hello Loyd. Wow okay this is a little different situation but maybe your phone isn’t a strong source for WiFi. I would recommend finding a portable Wi-Fi device. I know on TH-cam you will be able to find someone in your same situation especially the van community on there. I’m sorry I can’t be of better help but I hope this helps.
All you got to do is get a Roku box and you can get any apps you want. I have a Vizio tv and had to do this

Hey Simone. If you are using a cable box or any other box you have to use a HDMI cord. I use a Phillips and there a good price at target or Walmart. Also when you go to settings and go to picture you can see other options there that might help. Let me know if it’s fixed and you can also check support.vizio.com as well.

HBO max lags so bad on this tv. I just got it yesterday and I’m freaking out cause i threw the box out 😭 would have returned it.
Hey Genesis. I’ve experience this as well. When I looked it up it said re-buffering caused by internet connection. I’ll exit out the app, wait a few seconds and try it again. Like I said I don’t have the best internet and I use chrome cast or airplay more then using the app on SmartCast (the app on the Tv). Vizio added HBO not to long ago so it might be on their part. I hope this helps and let me know if you need help.
I connect my tv threw my hotspot on my phone since I am up on a mountain.. got good cell signal but no cable or dsl here .. I dont have any lag.. you might run a speed test on your connection.. it could be that is the problem.. interferance from other things in your home might be causing your lag as well.. try moving the tv to a different location in the room...

This is not a review because you've never reviewed nor mentioned anything the picture quality of the TV. All you talked about was the apps! That's not a review of a TV because TVs has more to review than the apps. People are more interested in the picture quality. Consumers really doesn't care about the apps because, they buy TVs for the picture quality.
