@@AB-gb6zz I actually watched football since the 90's and don't get all emotional. My response was to the first comment Saying he is better than all 3 which is false. Vieira is world class but he wasn't close to Prime Keane who was more influential player and better captain. Plus the other 3 English players were different type of players.

Vieira was a better footballer, better passing, better finishing, he didn't play in exactly the same role as Keane, he was more attacking. He was levels. Who cares if Keane was a better captain.
That attitude there is the difference. Lampard saying "you know I was a young boy and they bossed me around... I admired them.". Being confident is one thing, but being humble and acknowledge experienced players to learn from them is so key. Compare that to a young/teenage player thinking they've got nothing to learn cause they made it to the premier team with a big pay check. Clubs should definitely focus on scouting talents, but I think scouting players with an amazing mindset is key. A player with half the talent of let's say Dele Alli but Lampard's attitude would bring so much more to a club and could potentially achieve amazing things.
compare that to lampard yesterday, "palace scored an everage goal, then a fluke goal, then another average goal". terrible attitude as a manager, nothing is his fault when it goes wrong.
Rashford is a prime example of a teenager who thinks they have made it, he wouldn't get in my local amateur team today.
@@oniondesu9633 this is how Liverpool seems to be scouting for players nowadays. Good players with great attitude seem to push eachother to levels people would not think possible of them. Players like Hendo and Milner are such great motivators and hard workers to boost everyone in the team.
Yes and no. Young kids caught up in maintaining the braggadocio image is one thing, but a budding talent needs to be brimming with real confidence to be a star.
Sometimes it comes off as humble, sometimes it doesnt. That's what makes great managers, knowing when to curb and grow their players greater or lesser qualities, and how that doesnt mean the same thing for everyone.

I mean seriously though, how can you argue that Scholes is better than Gerrard anyway? There isn’t one aspect of Gerrard’s game that you could say was a weakness. He was an all-round colossus. Tackling, pace, driving forward with power, passing - both long and short range, shooting from distance, finishing, heading. He was the complete player. He could’ve played anywhere on the pitch. Zidane and Kaka had it right on Gerrard, at one stage, probably between 2005-2008, he was the best player in the world, certainly the best midfielder, and by the looks of it here, Lampard knew that too.
Its just biased. Fans will choose their bias and nerds will point out the stats/achievements.
Ronaldinho then Kaka were the best players during that time. Pirlo and then Xavi best midfielder. Gerrard best midfielder in England during that period

Never knew Stevie g never won premier League player of the year but everyone says he could be the best centre mid to have ever played in the premier League. Top player no doubt maybe only played in 2 teams that had a chance of winning the title but never. Always came up against a strong arsenal United Chelsea then city team.
