Compare that to a young/teenage player thinking they've got nothing to learn cause they made it to the premier team with a big pay check. Clubs should definitely focus on scouting talents, but I think scouting players with an amazing mindset is key. A player with half the talent of let's say Dele Alli but Lampard's attitude would bring so much more to a club and could potentially achieve amazing things.
compare that to lampard yesterday, "palace scored an everage goal, then a fluke goal, then another average goal". terrible attitude as a manager, nothing is his fault when it goes wrong.

Yes and no. Young kids caught up in maintaining the braggadocio image is one thing, but a budding talent needs to be brimming with real confidence to be a star. Sometimes it comes off as humble, sometimes it doesnt. That's what makes great managers, knowing when to curb and grow their players greater or lesser qualities, and how that doesnt mean the same thing for everyone.
