A wonderful story and beautifully read. I first read this novel just about fifty-three years ago. It was a great story then, and has only grown better with time.
This reader is reading words, but not the story. No expression whatsoever. No attempt to match emotional states in her voice at all. Like a bad 9th grade in-class reading
Do agree. She not expressing herself while reading the story. Thinking she's reading the book instead. Am thinking that the book is quite outdated. Written long time ago.
The reader improves as the book goes on. She is a volunteer, and l keep that in mind as she is reading, thus l am able to consider this a great gift to me. Also, l have only recently become a fan of Zane Grey and Louis L'Amour. I'm just turned 69 and I feel I have discovered a wonderful treasure.
On the contrary I believe that the reader is amazing. She just delivered the story an the southern cowboy accent. An removed any other presence of her from the story, is a piece of art. If you can't appreciate that you just have bad taste nothing else, similarly as piano or sonata ain't for everyone, go watch something third grade series on Netflix would be more of your cup of tea. Adios amigos 😘
Kalpataru Sengupta “You believe.. reader is amazing..” But if someone disagrees with you they have “bad taste”. 😂😂😂 Your opinion sucks and your obnoxious haughty tone lacks much needed self awareness.
What an odd, unenjoyable, ‘accent’. Machine gun/sewing machine type quality to the way the reader say “purple”. Great book! Distracting reading that detracted greatly from my enjoyment. However I should note it did feel as though the reader improved a bit as the hours progressed. Thanks for the book!

Her amazing “western tongue”. How wrong everyone who disagrees with you is.. You are one of those thankfully rare speckled birds who haughtily believes their opinions are universal, or certainly should be. Its funny to watch you demand strangers agree with your little internet crush.

Thanks for the book!
The reader's accent is a true Western tongue. Her read adds immensely to the imagery of the scenes in the mind of the westerner.
Actually - You are the one in need of manners... Nunya Business.
