I think it's amazing. I played a lot of chess when I was young, and although I won all my games in Group C in one tournament, But I am at the bottom of real chess players. The Botez sisters defeat most street chess players. You defeat the Botez sisters like it's no art. Then Anish Giri comes and defeats you like you the sisters. What's the difference between a super GM, 2300 ELO and me. The level of GMs is insane , and the way Magnus beats all the GMs tells a lot about what level he is on !!!!! Its scary to think what goes on in his mind…. He is way UP
I'm sure to him it just comes naturally though. I think he can visualise the kind of end game that will emerge and knows how a passed pawn or an active king wins games. He can see it a few moves earlier. Most of it may be subliminal I think.
He put u on the menu. That's hilarious an a bit of prima Donna move but just funny enough to cover the greazyness that stays stuck u after pulling an ol Anish
I'm curious. At 5:55, why didn't you play Be6? You even took a pause when playing Bg4. For me, Be6 is an automatic move, attacking of a pinned piece which is a natural continuation... Have you thought about it, but decided against it?
The idea is that black usually premoves Ne7, because they're hoping white will play exd6, then see the Ne7 premove and think black blundered. Then white takes dxe7, but that's a mistake, because black goes Bxf2 Kxf2 Qxd1. Eric was trying to be one step ahead of that premove, and instead do Qxd6, so that after the premove he can play Qxc5 and win a free bishop. But Anish didn't premove, so Eric just lost the queen.
The first match against Peeko... the Queen wasn't trapped?? Just take the pawn on c7 instead of the rook on a1. I think Eric just took peeko's word for it that his queen was trapped and played accordingly
