Why are these issues only raised during election time? Could there be ulterior motives behind it? Is he prioritizing the country's interests or solely focused on regaining control? Yes. They will have to be very smart to minimise the fiscal impact. After a decade of pro-oligarch policies, the real economy is in shambles and may need some extra spending. A higher deficit may be unavoidable. Some of it will come from cutting the current excesses on marketing/pr, travel, event bazi, wardrobe, and general shoo shaa. But there has to be some very smart resource allocation beyond that.

Rahul Gandhi's plan is dangerous. He wants to divert funds from where it is actually necessary for long term progress and stability and instead use it for ruinous populist policies.
If the country can sustain giving 16k crores to Adani, freebies can surely be given to the poor people to help generate growth through spending in the rural sector of the country. Trust INDIA and in particular Congress to bring back jobs and growth for all sections of the society. They have done it between 2004-2009 and will do it. Salary figures reached 6 lacs per month for the first time in Corporate world under UPA. MNREGA, NREGA all were brought in by UPA. Some of the best brains in Finance Ministry are with them. (And they don't do onion-garlic talks). The Liberalized Remittance Scheme which helps Indians remit funds for their children's education was brought in by UPA. The Coastal road in Mumbai (by Shiv Sena) and the Nuclear treaty with the US was signed by UPA 1. The Right to Food, Right to information too was brought on by them. So, think before you talk about their achievements.

Exactly. U had the same thought. You should vote from any where. You have aadhar card. They should have finger print scanner , iris scan and picture taken. All the information is recorded in the data base. So you can’t vote in Guwahati and then go to Delhi and try to vote again.
Depends on what you mean by people can vote while travelling or in other parts
If someone from region X staying in Y were to vote from Y for politicians in Y, then they might not be fully aware of the conditions of Y
But if they were to vote in Y for politicians in X, since India has thousands of political parties, it would be very inconvenient to design EVMs or ballots

BJP is firmly arguing that Modi's face-value as PM candidate will be their Asset and the I.N.D.I.A. Alliance has not projected anyone will be a major setback. Modi who held PM post for 10 years and again his stake for 5 years and beyond has to be justified in terms of performance which is not forthcoming. That makes the Opposition to highlight that there's widespread anti-incumbency wave and growing disappointment among Voters. Lower turnout clearly shows that there's anti-incumbency factor leading to more chances for a Change of Guard.
