Yeah the USS Arizona was a sad tragic story in world war 2 in pearl harbor on December 9th 1941 when Japan got the jump on us and destroyed most of the U.S. fleet with bombs torpedoes and much worse
There were a lot of casualties there to it was a firey smokey and blood mess like hell was unleashed onto pearl harbor and just to think Japan was working with the Nazis for world domination. Pretty scary what evil can do and what devastation it leaves behind in it's wake. Pearl harbor never saw it coming and USS Arizona got the jump first before she could ever take action.
I left a few ideas 💡 you could incorporate into your USS Missouri diorama to come the idea is on the comment in hms hood sinking Diorama your recent video I hope like the 💡 ideas I added to it with guns firing which what you want but also a I thought of it going at full speed. A hudge bow wave as it cuts through the water and give it a sharp turn to port with the starboard side listing slightly as she delivers a full broadside with her turrets. This will give your diorama more action Micheal.
Michael, thank you for a most respectful and moving tribute to the men who died on the Arizona that day 82 years ago. I had the same feeling watching this as I have had each time standing on the Memorial in Pearl Harbor. The work is excellently done. Thank you again.
The blowout wave from the armor piercing bomb that literally obliterated Arizona's bow and sunk her is the most incredible detail you made awesome work my friend 👍😁😄
I wasn’t born till the 60’s but Pearl Harbor was my back yard when I was a little boy. I was born in such a historical and beautiful place. Thank you for your tribute to our soldiers who died tragically on that day. Your diorama is beautiful and well executed great job.
Outstanding tribute and premier modelling and warship. I attended the 83d National Memorial at the Arizona Memorial and Visitors Center. The keynote speaker was superlative. Her grandfather survived the blast and day, roping over to the USS Vestal, the repair ship working on BB39. Listen to her story with Mike Rowe Podcast. Again..fantastic modelling.
Amazing diorama! I like your understanding of light, shadow and explosion. Your beautiful tribute for all who sacrificed their lives for freedom is very touching. God Bless you.
outstanding-portrays that moment, the second 1 men lost their life, wonderful, you're blessed. I've been modeling for 50-some years and you just smoked me!
Not sure how I just found your channel but wow! What a video to start on. Very touching tribute at the end and a phenomenal diorama. Really enjoyed this.
Hi! where did you get the photoetch parts for the Arizona? I recently purchased this revell kit and it seems almost necessary to purchase after-market parts to make a good representation of the Arizona, can't find them anywhere online though...
My grandfather served in the USS Arizona, he was on shore leave when it was hit. I never got to meet him because he passed about 2 weeks before I was born.
Un soldado conoce los riesgos de su trabajo, pero este momento de la historia demostró lo peorcito de nuestra especie. Una magnífica recreación de un momento clave de la historia mundial. 🛠👍
Do you sell those? If so what would one like that cost, I could imagine they take many hours to complete such a three dimensional piece of history. Truly stunning.
When that plume of smoke went up the funnel. It actually blew the funnel apart. That's why you don't see the funnel in the photos after the fire was out. But you can see a few parts of the funnel laying on the deck.
The explosion water blast looks very realistic and stunning Michael. I would like to ask, is there a huge difference between Infinity CR and the previous airbrush u had (bd-183) ?
Brilliant….but it could also be HMS Vanguard (explosion) or Royal Oak ( torpedo)…Italian Roma ( x bomb)or HMS Hood ( naval gunfire) ….all resulted in immense destruction and casualties very quickly…
YOU DO SUCH AMAZING WORK BUDDY...YOU GOT ME STARTED MAKING DIORAMAS I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IM DOING AT THE MOMENT BUTBIM TRYING LOL....LOVE WATCHING YIUR VIDEOS KEEP IT UP BUDDY 👍👍👍👍👍👍...WHAT SOZE BATTIERS ARE USING AA OR 9V
Perhaps the most used footage of the attack is the USS Arizona explosion. It was taken by a doctor on the deck of the USS Solace, a hospital ship. His footage also recorded several near misses and direct hits on the Arizona before her demise, as well as formations of Japanese aircraft high overhead making their runs on Battleship Row. The forward third of the Arizona turned into an inferno, killing Rear Admiral Isaac Kidd and the Arizona's skipper, Franklin van Valkenburgh. What's amazing is, there were men in that explosion who survived. Six of them became trapped at the Arizona's portside gun director. Moored along side the Arizona that day was the repair ship USS Vestal. The six men hailed the Vestal and a crewmember picked up a line and threw it to the Arizona. Both sides of the line were secured. One by one the six men, five of whom badly burned over most of their bodies, came across. As this was happening, a Vestal officer ordered the line be cut so they can get clear. The Vestal sailor refused the order, saying that cutting it now would doom those men. The line stayed but the Vestal was picking up steam, and their savior implored them to hurry. All six men made it across. The Vestal later beached because of heavy damage it sustained. One of the six survivors died three weeks later of his wounds. The remaining five, despite all their wounds, continued to serve and survived the war. It wasn't until seventy years later that the identity of the Vestal savior was confirmed as Chief Boatswain's Mate Joseph Joe George, at the time a Petty Officer First Class. Like a typical sailor, on Friday 5 December 1941, George was given shore leave. He went out, got drunk, got into a fight, punched and knocked out his buddy, and was arrested by Shore Patrol. Taken in front of his skipper, George was told that his time in the Navy was done, and that, come Monday, he was going to be court-martialed and thrown out. Then Sunday happened. Because of his heroics, the matter of the court-martial was forgotten and George continued to serve in the Navy and survived the war, and lived until 1996, but also went on without any acolades for his valor. George's daughter, Joe Ann Taylor, petitioned the Navy who said they needed two eyewitnesses. As luck would have it, two of the remaining five USS Arizona survivors were men George saved that day, Donald Stratton and Lauren Bruner. Both men went to Washington and petitioned the Navy. In the end, George was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal with V device. In a ceremony at the USS Arizona Memorial, the medal was given to Taylor. In attendance was Donald Stratton and Lauren Bruner. Until their dying days, both men said that George deserved a lot more than a Bronze Star, as his insubordination saved their lives.

I would like to ask, is there a huge difference between Infinity CR and the previous airbrush u had (bd-183) ?
Thanks . Yes I feel that the infinity is much better and easier to clean. But is new. Ask me again after a couple of years
@@4THECRAFT Thank you for the feedback, I feel the difference if you paint on tiny spots, the paint will flow better.
Fantastic build.... for future reference... At the time of the Pearl Harbor attack, Arizona's spotter planes were not aboard
