The funny part is that Max spoke after quali with the Dutch press and he said. I went almost face first into the wall, that was interesting. And the press was laughing because they knew he was referring to Russell`s comment about Max. What was said. Max is a masterclas troll
Max already won WC He’s out of the car in Q2 so he comfortable enough with car setup. If you look back on previous races he likes to kick out backend coming out of this corner. 👍
His mistakes hardley ever end up in tears. He had many occasions to show his car control in a move like this one. Suzuka 2015, Brazil 2016 , the spin in Hungary 2022.
Similar to the 21 Jeddah crash. Max has that error in him by virtue of the fact that he always goes for it, but it's overall a net positive e.g. 2021, 2024. The more competitive it gets the more you will see both the ups and downs. I find it very hard to buy the argument that mentality drives these errors, I think his mentality always remains the same, if he's 30pts up for down in the championship, racing his nemesis or fried.
I think he did a deliberate FU sideways on last corner. He already win and putting on a show. Lets talk about how he got out of the car during Q2 and only did one run. Dude running in God mode.
Thanks - interesting analysis. What I get out of this is that there was no obvious error other than just overdriving the car in the very last corner and losing .2s. But it was interesting to hear about diffs, and brake settings. Can you do a video on what control the steering wheel gives them and examples - as a newby, this is very interesting thing that I don't understand. Driving at 200mph and fussing with the buttons - whew!
If Max was rattled by George you would expect to see it in Qatar, no? 😅 I think you're reaching a bit, but its all good! I think Max's challenger is still Lando, and Lando looks like he can, and probably will be 2025 WDC
I dont think he's rattled by GR. A lot of you dont understand the message, its just that there's mistakes inside Max, and you gotta look for them & try to extract by applying pressure 🙂 Lando's got a lot of work to do to be wdc and construct a title. Appreciate the msg!
@@lowerlaptimei agree. The work Lando has got to do is mainly mentally/psychologically. Max has an uber Alpha-dominent self confident ruthless racing mentality and to beat him a competitor not only has to have a great car and great racing skills but he also has to have that hardcore racing mentality. I have not seen that in Lando in 2024. The only driver that has similar attitude like Max was Lewis in his peak years. So it is not surprising that Lewis and Max would end up battling for the championship till the bitter end. Both are great champions.
Max was indeed frustrated. He commented that he was happy that the RB20 could be brought to the museum. He is frustrated with the small window of the car. I don't think Max is a big manager in the car with diff settings etc. He does it, but not as frequently as others. I think he sees it as a stop gap.
That was an incredible save by max, I thought he was going in the pitlain barriers! I just wanna see GR and max battle it out on track, see if George can match his talk to his walk.
nothing I've seen from George makes me think he can. Same with Lando. Only 4 drivers I can see go toe to toe with Max if we assume similar pace car+driver: Fernando, Lewis, Charles, Oscar.
@@daarom3472I agree. It is such a long season now. Talk and skill are not enough. It takes a mindset that does not care what people think and are fine if everyone hates them.
@@coinwaters and George again showed today he simply lacks outright race pace. How on earth can you be beaten by your teammate who starts like 5 rows behind you? George also pretty much had clear air all race while Lewis had to do overtake after overtake. No way this would ever happen to a future WDC.
i also think he thought he might be going to get over the line limit and some power on the rear solves the problem(which worked) but he didn`t say anything about it,so dont think so
Isn't he going to full throttle earlier because he lost traction? That's why it's spiking from 91% to a 100. Meaning he did the same in both laps, the car just didn't lose traction the second time.
He looked tired and relaxed in the interviews, not his usual intensity, he really looks ready for a vacation, which is exactly what he said. So maybe he was just a bit less active trying to change the setup/ balance between and during sessions. I a,curious whether he will have the energy again next year to bring the intensity again for a whole year that he needs to work on the setup of a not great car week in week out. He will probably always be p for racing, but all the Friday and supaturday work to get the car somewhat right has drained him I think.
Lot of BS. Most of season Max was frustrated with the car..and where were the mistakes then. So you thoughts are not valid. Regarding his frustration they do not make mistakes then. But all drives make mistakes its how you handel them.
@@lowerlaptime Piastri should take some blame. Either he shut that door or he left a little more margin, he drove like he was the only car there , not saying it's entirely his fault, but I don't think it's 100% Max there
@@lowerlaptime Honestly, Calling me imature simply proves my point. Listen, I believe you have a good and unique nitch and you genuinely have some good points at times.
