Excellent video guys, glad your feeling better. Fab to meet up with Spencer and Cathy...i met them at the Overland event years ago and they were lovely. Looking forward to seeing more, cheers Steve 💚
Did you use boiled or purified water to rinse your veggies? I wonder if that's how you got sick. Montezuma's revenge! We always steer clear of the salad bar while in Mexico for that reason.
Yep. Boiled or purified. We have been ultra careful with everything. We think it may have been our water bladder bite valves. We hadn’t cleaned them in a while and with the heat it may have caused bacteria to grow. We had been feeling a bit yukky for several days so it may have been that. You never know what it was. We are super careful though.
@@Life2ontour Oh, good point. That could be. I mix about a tablespoon of bleach with 2 liters of water in my water bladder, then flush until the smell is gone. I try to store it dry, but sometimes I'll find water collected in the corners. I'm a scuba diver, and we use Steramine (food-grade sanitizer) to sanitize our regulators. I might try that instead.
@@bryandees8242we got some bleach and some bicarbonate of soda, mixed that and rinsed thoroughly afterwards. We had eaten a burger that night from a tiny street stand up the road so it may have been the lettuce in that. We’ll never know though but I suspect the water bladders had a contributing factor as we had been feeling a bit meh for several days.
@@Life2ontour Another thing I carry for this situation is a prescription for Ciprofloxacin. we travel to many undeveloped countries for diving excursions. It's medication for travelers' diarrhea, but shouldn't be taken on a whim, just for emergencies. Check with your doctor or course.
Another cracking video 😎👍
Thank you so much ❤️

Thanks for watching Steve and for leaving a comment. Much appreciated.
Yes, Spencer and Cathy are lovely and were so helpful with their knowledge.
Spencer Conway is very funny! So cool you got to meet him. We need a sticker on our bike 😉
Well you’ll have to catch up before we run out! 😂
Excellent video. Sorry I allowed other things to get in the way of watching. ❤
Thank you for watching it now! ❤️
