I enjoyed the alpine glow in morning. It's amazing you can hear the mountain goats. The view from Pharaoh peak is incredible ,vast and scenic! Have fun and be safe! 😅👍

Ah i know it’s been a minute!! had a lot on my mental plate this summer ~ I will make a short video about it soon🩵 excited to be sharing adventures again!!
I did this as a day hike in late sept went the wrong way at one point towards pharoah lake (not peak) and ran into a bear eating another bear on the trail.
Can't carry guns in Canadian national parks? Regular folks.can't, but the park wardens can and do carry rifles. It is a safety issue for them, no way would they risk their life for their job. Years ago while hiking in central Banff NP I saw a warden on patrol, on horseback, with a rifle. Years ago I talked to a.warden holding a rifle in Waterton NP, because bears were running around inside the townsite of Waterton. I've hiked in Canada's Rocky mountain parks since 1978, and haven't seen bears on the trails - they are often seen near roads and campgrounds. Bear spray can work, but not in wind and heavy rain - common conditions in the mountains. So you are forced to hope for good luck in Canada's mountain parks.
@@jondevaney6860 thanks for sharing!! but yup agreed fingers crossed most of the time, i hiked over 100 miles in the backcountry here and never saw a bear either!
I hope you have bear spray and a pistol or revolver. Bear spray only is unsafe and the chance of survival when you face a charging animal is basically zero. So many reported kills with empty bear spray bottles that’s insane. You should always have something with good punch in your backpack like .454 Casull. Mountain Lions are a threat as well out there in the mountains. Stay safe!
@@court_inthewild this is great at least you have a bear spray but in certain situations it’ll do not much you should watch “biologist armed with only bear spray killed by bear” and this wasn’t even a Grizzly just a Black bear. th-cam.com/video/C3GTf7Lqdl8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PDC53TnuvKxx6fcf Unfortunately this is very common I hear this often that people get killed deploying the whole bottle on the bear. The spray will make an angry charging bear only more angry it is advised to always carry a firearm when out in the woods. Your survival chance armed is 99% what most people don’t know Predatory attacks survival rate is just 20% with spray only. A hungry charging animal doesn’t care about some pepper. There are tons of stories on TH-cam found killed with an empty bottle. A man just recently got dragged out of his camper and killed by a 500 pound black bear. The bear managed to open the locked door it just ripped that door apart. All these people thought the bottle will do its job.

This is Canada. No handguns and no guns of any kind in National Parks. Lots of wildlife but they aren't interested in you.
