@@johnganshow5536 Yes. I tried to do it in the early spring this year, and there was still too much snow. So I went skiing instead, which was surprisingly good. You don't think about Arizona as having snowy mountains, but Humphrey can be daunting.
Great video, you are a smart lady! My son and I snow showed Humphreys on New Year’s Eve 2015. Snow was 4-5 feet deep, mostly no trail, had to blaze our own as we were first to the summit. Luckily was sunny and no wind! 🙏🏼. 10 degrees F 🥶 a magical day
I struggle with turning back also so can fully relate. Sometimes we grow more in those situations than when we succeed. My first time seeing your videos....good job and thank you for sharing with honesty.
Thanks Court for the inspiring ability to get out there and go with determination.Im older now and dont live near any mountains but im getting out and moving which is what i needed to do.Thank you again.very beautiful area you are hiking.Sorry you didnt get to the summit ,but i can sense your determination big time and you will make it,when conditions allow..Take care.
@@aw-md6oi im so glad to hear that youre getting outside and moving!!! that is the most important thing you can do for your mind & body :) thanks for watching!
You weren't defeated. You made a resonable decision that very possibly avoided unforseen consequences. At worst, you changed your mind. Save determination for those times when there is something to gain. You've done it twice already!
Hi Courtney. Every video you make is an adventure, doesn’t matter if you have a setback(never a defeat) or not. A little bummed you didn’t stay in NH for your winter hiking, but you are definitely a rolling stone. Looking forward to your next outing. Be safe. Happy Thanksgiving.

Smart move turning back. Far too many wilderness disaster stories involve people ignoring changes in the weather. Also, thanks for being a bro and picking up the trash.
The gained wisdom of accepting periodic defeats will only provide a great sense of exhilaration later on when your limits are tested again and you succeed.
@@court_inthewild you make an excellent point. Having reached your best, leaves room for a further time to improve on that best. Very wise decision-making. Your process of making it and then digesting it is as rich as the adventure itself. Thank you so much for taking us along.
