Michael Landon was an amazingly talented actor full of verstyile he could play any role or situation perfectly. He could play funny, carrying, happy, Sad, injured or heroic. I'm not religious, but I will be forever grateful for shows such as Bonanza/Little house & Highway to heaven for showing me that the choices we make every day can make our lives,and the lives of those around us better, and Michael Landon, especially, for devoting his later career in giving us "Morality Plays" to question the choices we make. Haley Lents Michael died of cancer of the pancreas and liver in 1991. Yes Michael is missed he has ton of fans from all of his shows. From bonanza, LHOTP, to Highway To Heaven. I loved him the most as Pa (Charles Ingalls) in LHOTP. It actually first aired a month before I was born. I still watch all of the shows today. Michael we love you, you will be in ours hearts forever.
the Ingalls and Cartwright families are something to treasure and learn from. Both fathers Ben and Charles Ingalls were a perfect role models. Yes, they don´t make shows like Bonanza and LHOP any more and that is a pity. I personally don´t watch television any more except the re-runs of shows like bonanza and LHOP and I am a big fan of BBC mini epic series. Try to watch Lark Rise to Candleford. Pure bliss and superb acting. We don´t have real actors and real television anymore.

I don’t think I ever remember seeing Bonanza, if I did I must’ve been really young. I might have to revisit those , I can access them since I’ve got a good DISH package. I’ve watched Little House for years, I still catch reruns, which I gladly watch , good stuff. I always thought Michael Landon was a great actor. Just amazing !

I want to share these, with my nieces and nephew, but they are almost grown ups now. They seem to think of different things now. So, in today's way of thinking, will they like these past TV episodes, or is that way of life gone?
As we celebrate Halloween today we also celebrate another occasion. The birthday of one of the greatest actors, (in my opinion). Michael Landon. He was and will forever be what I call America's Farther.". He brought family values into the living rooms of America. As I've posted before, as long as there is cable and Utube his legacy of top notch family entertainment will continue. Thank you Michael and Happy 78th in heaven! You are so missed!

It's from the episode where a circus comes to town and Albert is trying out circus acts. Charles doesn't like it and explains it's dangerous stuff. They are standing at the grave of the master of the circus who was killed during a circus act with fire.

@Lover7894 There never was an episode that Hoss died. When Dan Blocker died they just didn't mention it in the Series except in one where Little Joe took his soon to be wife (I think it was called Alice) to Hoss's grave and he just told her about him as they sat there.
A show like this would never succeed today. They would need to make Albert struggle with his sexuality and make Laura have some kind of drug addiction. And, of course Caroline would want a divorce because she wants her freedom. Then maybe the execs would buy it.
