This is probably my favorite Berlin School patch I’ve built and it makes me happy to hear that you enjoyed it as well. Mixolydian b6 is probably one of my favorite strange/mixed modes to work with after having made this piece.

Love the arp and drone on this track - the way it evolves is outstanding and weaving the pad into the arp is very clever. I love my Wavestate and your videos really inspire me to learn more! I always look forward to the notification when you put on a new video, Dani.

I had a lot of fun getting this set of sounds just right both in terms of the sounds themselves as well as the rhythm and mode choice (altered mode, this one, but it really works).

We wtorek dotrze do mnie mój osobisty Korg Wavestate mk2. Marzenie sprzed 30 laty (WaVestation) w jakiś sposób się spełni.
Czekam niecierpliwie.

I‘ve been having a great time building patches like this now that I‘ve figured out how to get the shape and step sequence lanes doing what I want them to do.
I‘m due for another super-deep and slow space ambient session on the wavestate but being able to do full Berlin School tracks on it has been a blast

This one is very good, I think this kind of music is what Wavestate is really good at. Also for this kind of tracks wave sequence crossfading between different orchestral samples (like between cello and violin or between different kinds of brass / reeds) can sound really impressive.

Normally I‘m a huge fan of using choirs, strings, and brass in a pad layer for something like this but in this case it really didn’t fit the kind of atmosphere that I wanted.
