I just re-watched the entire series on amazon prime. It is hilarious but he is honestly a great shot. He was shooting through the same hole at 20 yards and scored a perfect 120 on the qualifying test. To be a level 3 reserve officer you have to pass the shooting tests. A level 1 and 2 reserve officer isn't allowed to carry a weapon even if they have a gun permit well on duty as a reserve officer from what I've read. Seagal is a joke but he was a legit aikido master in his day and was the first American allowed to teach it. That being said his ego from fame changed everything and 99% of what he says now is bs but he was a expert marksman at 20-30 yards stationary shooting. Now put him on a course like taran tatical and I doubt he hits anything.

Validity? There are numerous martial arts schools across the country operated by former students of his (one of which I attended myself). He also was UFC's Anderson Silva's personal trainer for quite some time. Has choreographed in some of the biggest hit movies of the last 20 years, etc.
@onemortal Aikido is a wartime martial art. It is not something you would use in MMA because of the use of small joint manipulation, which is illegal. It is also very useful against multiple attackers. The same could not be said for styles like BJJ. It is not devoid of offensive moves, but you were assumed to know how to attack if you studied it. In it's conception, you could not even study unless you were already proficient in martial arts. It is absolutely a fighters art.

Steven although perhaps a little rough around the edges is also a very skilled martial artist. Validity? There are numerous martial arts schools across the country operated by former students of his (one of which I attended myself). He also was UFC's Anderson Silva's personal trainer for quite some time. Has choreographed in some of the biggest hit movies of the last 20 years, etc.

@onemortal Aikido is a wartime martial art. It is not something you would use in MMA because of the use of small joint manipulation, which is illegal. It is also very useful against multiple attackers. The same could not be said for styles like BJJ. It is not devoid of offensive moves, but you were assumed to know how to attack if you studied it. In it's conception, you could not even study unless you were already proficient in martial arts. It is absolutely a fighters art.
