Been looking into an external dropper for my XC bike since my Cube AMS 100 Pro already has been fitted for routing the cable. This one seems very nice, I'll check this one out!

I really need one of these. I didn't know they existed until today.

The upside to external routing is the ease of removal.

Great video! Just curious - what are your thoughts on the PNW Coast Suspension dropper? Did you consider it when you were buying the Pine? Thanks!

Drop bar lever seems way less sketchy. Riding single track on drop bars you almost always need to be in the drops. You have no control over the brakes and no grip on the bars on the hoods or tops. I was going to get the PNW drop bar remote, but it's only accessible from the drops and not the hoods. Easton and pro seem to make the best drop bar remotes. Going to pair a PNW Coast internal suspension dropper with one of those remotes. PNW is an amazing company to deal with when it comes to warranty and they have me as a customer until that changes, but just wish the made a better drop bar remote.

Great video! I'm looking at 2021 Rove LTD currently and it's fun to see what it's capable of. Is that the 90mm or 110mm and how did you choose? I wonder if people just go with the largest amount of travel that they can fit.

Thanks for the tip on being able to remove the dropper post/cable/lever assembly to be able to swap in a non-dropper seatpost (if using the loam lever versus the PNW CX-style lever that requires cable routing under the handlear tape down into the drops)! Question - what lever mount are you using, to be able to mount the loam remote lever to drop bar? All of my drop bars are 31.8mm Dia., maybe yours is 22.2mm? Or if yours is 31.8 would like to know the specific adapter setup.

took me ages to find a good lever for 31.8

Could you spin the post so that the cable mount is on the drive side ? My concerns are if the seat with go on properly. I have existing cable stays on the bike that I want to use, but they're on the drive side

Hey, what size lever are you using?

Does your dropper post have any side to side freeplay ?

I got this dropper and it started self rising, any idea why?

Yes your cable tension might be too much. If it has too much tension your cable will think it is being actuated 100% of the time
