I was expecting this to explain the immunology side of the reactions

first thank you for speaking at the pinellas county beekeepers association. I first got into bee keeping a few years ago. When first dealing with bees I got stung a lot and swelled up and itched for more then a few days. But now, I got stung the other day as a matted of fact but it has gotten better. I don't even get swelling and if I get the stinger out quickly it lasts a few minutes at most. Also tooth paste can be used to pull the venom from the area. Just a dab will do you.I would also argue that my girls know who I am and they tend to be more docile to me now that we know each other. I don't know why but I think they tolerate me more now.Maybe they know I mean them or the queen no harm and feeding them puts them on my side.I don't know but it seems they know me. And don't forget a good mite control program keeps them in their happy place.

I got stung so hard yesterday that it drew blood. Pretty sure mine is just category 1 maybe 2 even when they get me really good. Whats crazy is she got me through my suit sleeve 😠
