Just brilliant, promoting both Austin and England. Accents like in Brief Encounter. Luckily there is still wonderful scenery and remote unspoiled places to find. At 14.44 the car is in Richmond Yorkshire, that scene is exactly the same now, I walk up that hill every week. Also shots of York Minster and Fountains Abbey. It's true an Austin gets you up the hills, my Big Seven has been up the steepest in Yorkshire many times. Thanks for posting Jack I enjoyed it immensely.
Glad you enjoyed it David, by pure coincidence that film was shown on Talking pictures TV only yesterday , I was out at the time but my wife loved it. So much so she insisted in telling me all about it, I didn't tell her I had the DVD.
I am fortunate to just remember something like this,at 18 years old back in 1963 before motorways ,my first car a 1937 Morris 8 Tourer soft top.My friend and I visited Devon when camping. This is how I remember it.Thanks.
Lucky you ! I have that model today, a perfect sunshine car ! I attracted a lot of interest at the pub this morning, but that's the fun of owning a classic car....
bravo old boy jolly lovely entertainment and my what an inspiration for one to step inside ones Austin and tally ho olf to the seaside or English country town or village, positively brilliant:) loved it :):):)
Feel so cheated that I was born way too late (not to mention, in the wrong country) to own one of these cars. Know what I had in college? A Ford Pinto....not quite the same. Good memories though. I pushed that car everywhere.
Makes me want to salute!

@@corriemcnab730 I Think there were two types, a two seater and the extended four seater, I had the four seater version.
Lovely ! I use Alice almost every day when it's sunny, a nice drive to the pub for coffee....@@blackvulcan100

Go on treat your self you could own any one of those cars now
That awful moment when you realise that Jeans and a T-Shirt are no-go for touring in one's 1930's Austin.
Interesting, the spelling of the word "remember" has been shortened. I never knew it was once pronounced as "rrrrrrrrrrrooooomemmmba"
