All tones on a Protec 3000SB fire alarm base sounders.
There are 4 tones on this sounder:
Alternating
Intermittent 0.5s on/off
Slow upward sweep
Continuous
Overall a really nice unique unit. Very loud on 24v too!! Can feel it vibrating due to the tones being quite low frequency!

Finally a fire detector that died not hurt my dogs ears. I think I've never seen a typical fire detector actually hooked up in a home that had a pet. First thing most people do is pull them down. Surprized no one is selling ones that have low pitch or adjustable tone. I guess they want you to just tear it off the ceiling. Hopefully someone will commercialize this great invention

I haven't seen a 3000SB before. Nice old device.
Tone 4 is very familiar to me. My school had 6000s on continuous. The SSRs were very irritating on that tone. Well until this summer holiday after I left for good. Went in for results day to find a brand new XP95 system. They just had to wait, didn't they!

@@JmFireAlarms Gent's a bit too screechy for me. Being a fire alarm collector and hypersensitive to sound makes things very complicated. I like the look of the s-quads, but the sound is too piercing. The 3400 sound is much smother, but I don't care much for the looks. It's Apollo's HI-LO for me.
