Tahiti to Moorea | Diving | Stingray riding | Surfing | Jungle waterfalls, Vlog 76

- We decided to hire a car and road trip around Tahiti so we could see up close some of the amazing flora, fauna and waterfalls this incredible tropical paradise has to offer. We were also able to observe some top surfing including the world famous Tahupoo surf break. Snorkeling and diving in Tahiti was also far better than we expected considering how populated the island is. After Tahiti it's only a short 2 hour hop to the neighbouring island of Moorea which is equally stunning with its towering rock and forest mountains surrounded by blue, sandy lagoon. Here we visited the famous stingray and shark feeding area and Bella even got to ride a stingray (after being instructed by one of the local guides how to do it correctly, basically involves holding a piece of pilchard in front of their mouth and using your hands to guide their direction). Getting up close and friendly with these amazing animals in their natural habitat was a once in a lifetime experience!
We are the Robbins family sailing on our boat named Nikau.
We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day!
We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand.

It's pretty cool that I can follow along with the Wynn's, the Zatarians and now you folks. You all seem to be hitting the same places, and I get 3 different perspectives on each. I see you are there with the Whitakers, but I think the Wynn's are a month or so ahead of you.

Twice the price and not as good in big seas but we will buy a catamaran in the med in a few years. I would go for mono around world. More comfortable sailing.

Hey Guys, great channel! Just a quick question...I've noticed that you don't seem to have too many problems with the dog going ashore in the French Polynesia and Tahiti etc. I heard that FP is particularly hard to get permission to take pets ashore, just curious as to your experiences with this? And if you have any links or websites to help out with finding information on this topic that would be great. I ask as we are hoping to start our family sailing trip in the next year or so and we will have our dog with us, cheers and thanks.
Hey! In some countries like FP they say just keep the animals on the boat. You'd obviously never bring them to town but it's all very remote out here if you get our drift! Bring our animals was worth ever dollar!

The guide told us it was fine and the ray certainly could of stung us if it wasn't happy. Same rays come back every day!
Stop grabbing the Rays - appalling -- last time I watch this channel.
They are well equipped to protest. But, happy viewing elsewhere!
