I just found these guys a couple of years ago and recently learned they replaced their vocalist. I must say, it's a breath of fresh air and Camille has some pipes!!! Super excited to see where these guys go from here!
After listening to this over the last week or so, I’m feeling it. People very quick to want old stuff that’s had time to burrow into tastes earned through time, but there’s no progression with regression. Knowing what this band has in their locker, this is a great introductory track for Camille. There’s still plenty of music to come, let them cook.

Interesting to see how they've grown as musicians, had the fortune of meeting Flo and Pierre in Berlin for the Architects tour they are absolute legends and I look forward to their next UK or EU tour

Agree with you, but a large part of me misses Mateo's clean vocals. He was simply irreplaceable in my mind. I didn't even listen to Novelists while they had the other guy, but she's definitely a better fit. Again, my opinion.

I was a huge fan of Novelists prior to Deja Vu, C'est La Vie was one of my favorite songs. I absolutely love this, her voice is incredible, and I love the contrast with the instrumental. Can't wait to hear more!

While Pierre is playing there's all sorts of what sound like random noises in the background totally obscuring what he is doing, and Flo's solo is turned down really low so that it's almost inaudible. I wouldn't push these guys into the background.

I can see what the boys mean with her bringing good energy! The fact that she screams was a positive bonus, but before I got to that part I would have been totally fine with the clean vocals only. Great vocals, loving this sound!
I personally love female vocalists in heavy bands like this. The way certain lines are delivered just sound so much better to me. For example, when Camille says "turn it up, turn it up more till it drives me insane". That made me headbang a little bit more aggressively.
