The single and three phase AC equations and examples are easy to understand and great to review, and set up the symmetric and non-symmetric examples. Very interesting!
It's worth to mention that the SF6 insulation gas has a global warming potential of 23 900 kg CO2-equivalents. That means that a leakage of 1 kg SF6 is approximately the same as emitting 23,9 tons of CO2. It's the most potent climate gas ever invented, and should therefore be treated with extreme caution.
Two Trip coils are a norm on EHV CBs (For each pole, if teh CB is of Single Pole Reclose supported(SPR) or in other words, is of non-ganged type) as a fail safe mechanism of tripping. Coming to Close coil, it can also be in any number, limited by the cash in hand ;)
The symmetrical component portion is worth a Million bucks. Excellent work explaining this concept!

Brilliant explanation of non-symmetrical systems!!

That's very interesting Martin. Do you have any resources to read up on this?

Great introductory
EXCELLENT. THANKS
Excellent. I was wondering if these specifications are just for GE devices. Romulo Soriano from Calgary

Hi i am making a video on circuit breaker operation and i like to use your some of the animation. is it ok?
sure
I'm lost about two trip and two close coil for each phase
