Tip if you have 10 salvations: Don't have all 10 of them fire a dozen volleys on a single target. Especially a moving target. Split attack a base, let them fire 3 or 4 times, and then switch to another 10 targets before the first set of rounds even lands. The amount of wasted DPS as 40-50 salvation shells fly towards a single battleship or cruiser that has already been destroyed is just criminal. Never took out the opposing artillery, never took out top pond's naval factories, never took out the clumped battleships and tempests.
God, that is the best Setons, or even FAF game i've ever seen, seriously, even with missing some deaths, but i understand that was very hard not to miss anything, very happy You casted that particular game. I have to add that I've seen many games, from Gyle, Willow, Meme Commander and many more, but this one is special, very good game to watch, and the casting is on point too
I guess that had he followed your advise and assisted his top pond player by taking out the tempests, would have taken another turn. Certainly, there's a ton of ways this could have gone much better for him. But that's the easiest one. Team top really did a LOT of things right to win this game. Kudos to them!!
They really did. For an Average Joe's, it was EASILY one of the best I've ever seen, both in terms of action, and teamplay. No doubt about it - one of my best subscriber games
Nice cast! Also a mod recommendation: The mod "selection cost ui" tells you how much mass in total there is on the screen in reclaim when you press ctrl+shift and have the eco bar enabled. Similar to "advanced selection info" which you already have, it also shows you the mass/energy cost and production/usage of units you select and is, afaik, the only mod that does so that isn't bugged for some edge cases. Advanced selection info for example shows you the wrong dps for some units.
Thank you for the tip! I do use it (since about 3-4 weeks as I reply to you) although I have to remember to select one of the players beforehand, for it to work properly. I'll endeavour to make use of it, which is my fancy way of saying - if I remember!
If you get a paragon online, give all your energy and mass to other players since you don't need to and everyone should donate you build power to assist. You just built one of the most powerful units in the entire game, you need to use it! Squeegy i feel focused too much on the salvations and manually selecting targets just set them to prioritize power or factories and let them do their thing why you focus on building and expanding
It is better than let them shoot t1 land units, but they might still all shoot same target and waste lot of shells. You should select two Salvations and manually select 5-10 targets for them starting from enemy artillery, airgrids, nukes to naval production and eco. It does not need to optimal. Do that to all 10 Salvation and map is soon very barren place. Understandable, players just have no experience for these situations, as they are so rare.
@@kutkitket3570 That's what the target priority mod is for. But I guess Squeegy didn't have it. Other than that, I agree, was asking myself all the time, why he didn't just manually select the production. And after all, why didn't he spam GCs and Donuts and build massive defense lines? That's just a few clicks to drag a line all over.
@@maffin1012 That is exactly my point build a salvation and set to energy, next mass, air facs, next navy etc... barely takes any APM. I do agree first you manually select key targets like nuke and nuke defense etc. after that its just mass defense lines
I don't know where that quote is from, but I know where "soul brother too beaucoup" is from! Also, that was one of the most impressive non-pro performances I've seen in a while.
It was from the film Platoon. And I agree 100% - easily one of the best Joe games I've seen, ever actually. Was a lot of fun to do, and I appreciate it was sent it in, thanks to DonSailieri for that, he stared as beach. Finding really good, action packed Joe games, with a bit of back n forth, and tough to call, or comebacks, all rolled into 1, is not always easy to find. Cheers!
The FAF players can really get into the zone at times, and play the most exciting games to watch back. It's at another level Vs 10-15 years ago. It's great to be able to find and share some of these with everyone. Thank you for your comments!
Thanks. When I said "mine" I should have said "my epidemic music playlist". There's a link in the description for more info, if any content creators are curious, using my link gets a free trial.
i wanted to ask what program your using to use a controller for your casts? I remember you mentioning having some help setting a system like that up, but i know some streamers for other games like this and myself that would love to know. I watch you like a bad religion and love your works btw
Hi - Yeah so I'm happy to help. I set up everything myself, right from building out my computer from scratch. I'm on quite a low income, so everything I have has been cobbled together and built/rebuilt/upgraded over a period of 20 years. I'm not actually sure I have a single thing left from that point in time though... You're right, that I have help from a loyal Subscriber as yourself (Tommy) who reworked some of the graphics for my channel artwork (he took my logo you see top left, and played around with it some - and did a far better job than I ever could - He also did the ruler I used to measure some maps, and a few other graphical bits). With regards to the software/hardware setup that I actually use to cast (on all my channels) I'm happy to discuss this with you in more detail, and provide some advice and help if you need it. Reach out to my email, so we can conduct it more easily. I'll be away now until Thursday night or Friday, so I may not have much to say until then. Thanks for your interest though - it's a nice compliment. (edit: typo)
I wonder if splitting them off (so giving them about 100 good targets, using shift, then Shift+G command to split them) would have been effective here? Thanks for commenting, you're probably right, just a friendly reminder to begin comments with SPOILER, and drop a couple lines down, when they mention anything that give away parts of the game. Much appreciated :-)
i feel bad for squeegy, not a bad airbuild (full t3 at 20 mins & more'n 100 asf too, that's gotta be above par for 1k play) & total airwin - but all three front players on south just got crushed :s oh ya, before anyone says south won: i couldn't watch after 40 mins.
Hey Thanks - Gonna be doing even more with it in the future - Please read the description that nobody ever reads and there's info including a link in there, especially for you!
There was a surprising amount of thought and testing that went into how quickly (or how slowly) I operate my zoom at, and how often I do so. I wish the zoom could be "weighted" somehow, so what as I roll my wheel, instead of "popping in/out" it actually increases/decreases my speed. This would make it even smoother! Thanks for your positive comments, never had that said until now
~35:20 KD ratio is mass not units, so you're ignoring it under the wrong assumption (which is extra odd because when mentioning unit veterancy you always default to the mostly useless unit count).
It's the kill-loss ratio I don't pay much attention to, the Kill:Build Ratio is the one I'm most interested in and sometimes refer to, as it is mass based... Are you saying the Kill:Loss ratio is based upon mass, not unit count? If that's the case, it makes the stat much more useful again - please confirm.
@@fafcast My fault, I used kill:death (KD) interchangeably with kill:loss. From my testing SSB does not calculate kill:loss by unit count but more likely by mass. I didn't crunch the numbers but, in a sandbox, labs vs t3 etc can yield very favorable numbers.
so sad he could have groupd 2 salvations each and attack multiple targets at once, seems it was alot of overkill and time wasted, and its weird that he did not shoot the tempests early.
Damn I am surprised he lost that game. One of the best paragon moves I've seen is spamming t3 air facs producing t3 gunships. Takes a little while then you have a murder ball that you can nuke the enemy with. Can build salva too at the same time. Shame he lost
I had an opponent like this once and when his locust swarm came over my com I launched a Billy, hit the cloud and took out like 20k mass. Got a good laugh out of it before loosing eventually
Gyle got himself a competitor!
So painful watching the weak target priority and gc micro losing the game that should've been bagged and tagged 😢😢😢
If you build a paragon, the first thing to do is build more for the rest of the team. Great team play all around from team one.
swap ras boy production to worker boys. 1 salvation then 1 paragon, you need to be able to kill the mavor/scathis before needing more resources.

Holy shit Aigul doing so much work. Provides top pond with an endless quantity of flak, bottom pond with destroyers and even a Tempest.
I guess that had he followed your advise and assisted his top pond player by taking out the tempests, would have taken another turn. Certainly, there's a ton of ways this could have gone much better for him. But that's the easiest one.

I'm at the 1 hour mark and I just feel like the south team will some how fuck it up despite having a paragon
Love your casts but I'm really missing the old intro music. It always got me so pumped up!
I'll see if I can find something similar again.
Painful to see such a clear wim thrown away.
Has a paragon, still losses. Unbelievable.

surprise paragon xD

How is a sub killing engineers? Since when?
I think It depends if the units (inc engineers) float (instead of hover). Subs can only kill floating units, perhaps someone can confirm.
depends on whose engies they are: cyb & uef are both on the water, aeon & sera hover above.
& to answer straight: since always.
Depends if the engineers are floating or not. Cybran and UEF are sailing.
Thought they all floated.
Whats the balance reason for making some flat and others not?! XD
