Irrespective of the skills needed to undertake the repair, it's annoying to think that an otherwise perfectly working laptop would have been thrown away for a resistor costing fractions of a cent. It's pleasing to see repair videos like this, bringing devices back from the dead and giving them another lease of life. - Well done
@@SubjectiveFunny man if you're so much concerned about your data being stolen , just flash a new windows, problem solved , i bet you ain't any President of some country either, doesn't make any difference
I wolder how many devices went to trash for a simple resistor with a value of 0.0000000....$. That's why is so important to have guys like him to diagnose and fix this. It's insane the amount o e-waste that probably could be recovered and reused if companies and people are willing to promote repairing. Nice job as always
1 component can let a whole device fail!! Really a good thing that the laptop was shielded btw!! More companies should do this! I've had a whole bunch of laptop with liquid damage in the past!
What model was the Huawei (Waah-Way) laptop??? Don't know anything about Huawei laptops but found it very interesting how they shielded the whole board like that. Kind of remind me of what Sony used to do (still does?) on some of their laptops back in the early 2000's.
if these were parallel resisters, it should have not read open. you would have read 150 on both side. something don't add up. but it is correct to read 75 ohm when both are 150 ohms.
It is nice to see how Huawei has put a shield on the whole mother laptop... It is nice to see... But why don't other laptop manufacturers do this? Can you explain?
huawei is trying to make a brand of herself on this market, others try to gross their profit. most laptop manufactureres just slap on cases with their brand stamped on. They focus on selling more, rather than quality. In short, it is capitalism my friend.
Off topic comment, it just came to my mind. If you are gonna create merchandise, besides the "better than factory" logo, you can put on a T-shirt, the message "The Shirt is gone" :) get it? PS: still enjoying your videos
hi there, the motherboard on my matebook d14 is dead. do you know if i can change the motherboard from bob wah9 with Bob wah9q. i cant find what's the difference in that one letter q at the end.
Great job! Unbelievable stuff like this would otherwise go to the trash (to be recycled ofc :) ) I was thinking, is it possible that Huawei is intended to be pronounced as "YouWe"?
Hi, i have a huawei laptop, when i was carrying in my bag the bottle cap was opened and the few water might be goes inside from charging side of laptop, after a while i checked the laptop can work but display is not. i checked all the properties with connecting other screen by HDMI, just only screen does not work. What should i do? Im not sure is it mainboard problem or screen, the guarentee services probably does not do anything. Does all the computer fixers know that you do?
Even when water basically can't go anywhere on the board it still manages to disable the whole laptop... Liquid is the great enemy, take care of your devices
i love this job more than every other jobs it is my fav of my childhood. i hope Allah will give me an opportunity for making my own business insha Allah 🤍 Allah make you always successful
It is requested to guide me regarding my issue in huawei matebook d15 not turning on. It happens often but this tine its about 1 day and it's not turning on. I was out of city for three days so my laptop was off for last three days. In my absence no one even touched it but still this issue. When i plugged charging wire it is still showing not charging sign no power led on.
The clear respect and love you have for Big Boss and the rest of your family is heart warming.
Amazing that you can save so many of these high value electronic devices so they don't go into the trash. Great work as always.
Great fix .. yeah .. it's a small resistor change but the experience needed to figure out the problem is the main tool here.
That's what i thought 👍
Exactly you don't pay for the time or the components, you pay for the knowledge and expertise.
I love how express your joy when the device springs to life. Job well done! Love to Big Boss and all the family Alex.

While I certainly agree I must say that most of the time the repair of liquid damage isn't this straightforward though.
I really liked how they protected the motherboard. I will consider Huawei laptops for future purchases. Thanks for the video 🙏
Yeah, old data stealing Huawei is great. Who needs to protect their information in 2022 anyway.
@@SubjectiveFunny True! Once connected to internet your data are already exposed.

It is good that Huawei shielded the motherboard. This protects the components and dissipates heat more efficiently.
easy fix with a simple logic, nicely done!! very satisfying to watch
Awesome job done 👍🏻
Kudos to BIG BOSS too as assembling & disassembling is also a very hard job & needs a LOT of patience.

Amazing. What such a tiny component cause such a big problem. Very well done. Greets
After a million of SMD replaced, you're still amazed that stuffs can be fixed. That's fresh. It makes it up for these frustrating no fixes.
Alex you are such a great human been!! Thanks for everything !!!Sharing your knowledge is what makes you exceptional. God bless you always!!
Looks like a very well built laptop!

Yeah... I agree.
Great job, as always! Don't you have any time the wish of making a high five with Big Boss when he ends his job and it results in a fix? 😁

These can be pretty cheap but amazing for price/performance
yep, got a matebook 14 with ryzen 5 4600h and 1440p display, a similarly priced asus laptop would've only had 4 core i5 1135g7 and 1080p display

you'll have to start making a database for all the faults?...
Amazing how a single tiny resistor like that can brick the whole computer.
