The next day they cut off his finger and send it to McDonald's along with the tape recording of Donnel Porter begging for Rich Porter to give up the Ransom. On December 10, 1989 the kidnappers send a letter saying to hurry up with the Ransom and that Donell Porter needed medical attention asap. Sad. Rich Porter failed his brother, because Alpo was in Florida when all this happened. Why would Rich Porter wait a whole month to give Alpo bricks 🤔. Who leaves their Brother for a whole month including Christmas and New year's with a bleeding finger. Alpo did dirt, but he wasn't around for the kidnapping. After reading the police report. I wouldn't trust anything Azie says.

I knew the movie was based on a true story but damn this ish, more brutal than a motion picture could ever portray ! Azie made it, he made it out but you can tell by the napkin in his hand and the teary eyes that the game took a toll on him. He lost his fam, best friends, his life almost. Was pushing a Beamer or Saab Turbo, wearing velour suits and gold ropes worth the paranoia, stress and anxhiety of living such a life ? Judging by how difficult it gets for Azie to just recall the events, I would say no.

As many times as I’ve heard this story, I always wanted to hold out hope in my mind that maybe Donnell was already dead when they cut his finger off. Maybe it was a quick shot and very little suffering. The idea of the torture is too much to even imagine. That poor child.

The only thing about " Paid in Full" , it condensed the story into what seemed like a year or maybe two but a lot of those major events happened within a period of 5 years !

After I read the police report. Donell Porter had a chance. His brother didn't give the Ransom and that's why they cut his finger off the next day 😭. Five days after on December 10, 1989 the letter was sent to Rich Porter saying to hurry up with the money/ransom 💰 and that Donell Porter needed medical attention. All this happening while Alpo in Florida, but Azie blaming Alpo which doesn't make sense. Why wait a whole month to pass including Christmas and New year's day to meet Alpo to help get your brother. RIP 🙏🏼 DONNELL 💐❤️

I originally heard about this watching an episode of FBI Files. The one caveat to this tragic story not mentioned in the episode, was it was actually Richie Porters uncle who was the master mind behind the kidnapping of Donnel. With family members like that, who needs enemies.

I refuse to believe Richard didn’t have the 500k they originally asked for in exchange for the boy. His real problem was simply getting his brother back by any means necessary wasn’t his main priority. He either wanted the cops to get the little boy back so he wouldn’t have to pay anything at all or he wanted to sell those 30 birds Fritz gave him at 20k a piece, pay the 500k to get the boy, and still profit 100k off the top. Interesting theory but I don’t think he actually had it all in cash either at the time. I believe it ran through his hands often but seeing that they splurged a lot on material things like multiple expensive cars, I think that showing off was his daily priority and they simply weren’t as responsible with easy money. Maybe he bought a $200,000 car the week before the boy came up missing and the uncle felt he had it for a fact but Rich was probably trying to make that money back for example. Not expecting that would happen and living in that kind of environment you’re likely to splurge on a car everyone can see before buying a home where a lot of paperwork is expected. Much harder than buying an expensive car cash. So he may have had the jewelry, cars & clothes that say he has it all but that’s not the case. If it’s not clean it’s worth nothing more than items that could be bought. They weren’t in the responsible business of saving and investing remember ? They weren’t bankers or lawyers. They were dealing drugs

I heard that the dude Preacher who plotted the kidnapping with...used to take his cookies when they were locked before and he got him hooked on dope...I had relatives in Harlem during the 80's...they said the Uncle was a leech , always begging his sister...Rich's Mom for money after Rich basically cut him off because he was getting high off his own supply and even stole some of Rich's jewelry and clothes out of his room before!

Kevin Chiles talked about this a few times. People don’t consider how young these guys were who were experiencing this. You talking about a 23 year old trying to negotiate a ransom. That’s a lot. Then, they had already cut his finger off so that adds an element of “how can I even trust this person to return him after they’ve already gone this far.” There were so many layers to consider and these were kids in their early 20s trying to sort this out.
Rich wasn't trying to get the brother back. Rich even knew who was behind it. Rich had been taking significant losses during the time frame his brother got kidnapped. Rich needed those bricks flipped because he wanted to get back into position

The whole story finally makes sense now. They were always going to kill the nephew they couldn’t afford to let Donell go as the feds were involved and the uncle was the one that abducted the nephew. Rich was screwed either way and if he had lived he was looking at a life sentence because his cousin was snitching. The cousin then snitched on Alpo instead because Rich got killed. Alpo made up the story about Rich beating him out of money with the connect. The plug was Fritz and Fritz had rejected Alpos several approaches to do business. Fritz like Rich but not Alpo so when the opportunity presented itself Alpo killed Rich and took Fritz bricks for himself…In Alpos defence he was just a kid poisoned by the drug game and consumed by greed.
