Part 16: • Azie Faison on Taking ...
Part 1: • Azie Faison Learned Ab...
    --------
In this clip, Azie Faison talks about what it was like to see the men who tried to assassinate him in a courtroom and the method behind the murder of six people in one night. He also explains that murdering a contemporary was not a part of his street code or the way he did business when he was in the game. In addition, the former drug lord details the process that his friends and family had to go through just to visit him in the hospital after he had been shot nine times. Lastly, the Harlem native talks about the famous line from 'Paid In Full' where the character played by Cam'ron says, "Ni**as get shot everyday, b. You'll be aight" and how accurately that quote portrayed Alpo on screen.

In the streets he was considered soft. You have to meet aggression with more aggression or the game will swallow you whole. I respect Azie but if he hadn't gotten out of the game, he was eventually gonna get busted and he would've snitched on his connect and everybody. He wasn't built for that life. His trustworthiness put him in a good position with the plug, but he wasn't ruthless enough for the game

Y’all have to understand Azie perspective on things. He’s a laid back dude that don’t want beef, he’s pretty much saying if we out here getting money and everybody eating no problem why u have to come bite the hand that feed u, why is it so much murder murder murder to reign supreme over the next man when we r all getting it. That’s coming from a normal logical way of thinking I’m with him on that u would think ppl would just be smooth and get this money. But on the flip side of that coin u have to be mindful of the sick individuals out there who r greedy and selfish and just don’t give AF and ultimately that be their downfall like most crews becuz they got in way over their heads. Now if Azie was ordering hits becuz he definitely had the power to do that, he could’ve eliminated potential threats who were coming along trying to f**k shyt up. But I think he did it the right way becuz guess what he’s still living and most aren’t who were bosses during that time. So I guess it pays to have some sort of dignity in the game. He still paid for it being shot 9 times becuz he was still a Kingpin selling that poison to ppl but in the grand scheme of things he still have his life and can talk about it to this day.
But u have to realize too he saw Rich and them doing their thing and I believe Azie just wanted to get in just to get paid not to be on bullshyt. He’s from the hood but he was a good dude from that environment and most ppl would call him a square.

@@wavydavy1289 I was a kingpin in the game back then too. I ended up serving 27 years in prison. The game was deadly in the 80's too but robbery wasn't as prevalent as it became later. Most of the deadly beefs were over territory. I know many dealers like Azie. They wanted the money but not the drama. Most of the guys like Azie had to get out of the game because when wolves know you won't bust your gun, they come at you. Those like Azie, who didn't walk away from the game, either got carried out of the game in a box or they suffered major injuries. I can tell Azie wasn't a street dude, he was just in the right place at the right time and caught a nice plug. His honesty is why the connect chose to do business with him. But a street dude would know these things: if there's no money in the house, the robbers are gonna kill you. Secondly, he should've known not to call Kevin's name. That was dumb. And you don't keep money in a spot that's not protected by shooters. Unless that spot is so far away from your movement, no one can possibly know where it is. In the streets you gotta make dudes fear the repercussions of their acts. You can't tiptoe in the game and survive. He didn't get killed but the people that did die in that apartment were casualties of Azie's movements. Killers knew that I was just like them when it came to those guns. And they knew I was insulated by killers. Although I wasn't killed, I served a long prison bid

They wanted what he had, and they wanted him out of that position he was in.

AZ at points seems like he’s all about himself. I believed he snitched knowingly and in fact wasn’t under distress.
Rich- Befriended AZ so AZ could hold drugs for him inside the cleaners, didn’t visit him inside the hospital but fixed his lips to ask AZ can he drive his 750 while AZ was in critical condition. Rich lied to Alpo about buying drugs from a different plug when in actually it’s was the same plug they both get product from so it was supposed to be cheap but rich lied and said he got it from a different plug and over charged him
Alpo- loyal to those who helped him get on his feet. Very loyal to AZ the man who put him on. Told on guys in D.C. But knew at any moment those guys could turn on him because he wasn’t from there.
My conclusion: Alpo most loyal. AZ: A really scary dude who should’nt have been in the game in the first place. RIch: dishonest and opportunistic.
