    Saving up for bm3 jb+ boost controller caused knocking or hesitation in 3rd gear when it’s hot outside you definitely convinced me

    Great review. I am in the process of pulling the trigger on tuning my F10 M5 and BM3 came out on top during my research. It is great not only because of the amazing usable power and the gains but also that it doesn’t stress the engine like some piggy backs do.
    How are you getting on now you have had the tune for sometime. Would be great to see a follow up video on your observations over the year and any custom tunes you have used during the period?
    Keep up the good work!

    Great review bro. I’m thinking of getting it for my f36 just for stage 1. How safe is it for the engine?

    I've been running Stage 1 93 Octane and I want to feel the difference in Stage 2. Do you know if anyone has ran Stage 2 N20 without DP, and FMIC? I planned on driving 3-4 miles as a test drive to gauge the before and after of the tune before flashing back to Stage 1.

    Hey bro nice video. If you’re stock do you recommend flashing with bootmod3 or na?

    my n26 had a cylinder 2 90% leak after like 3 months of running a stage 1 91 octane tune from bm3. doesn’t anyone know if the tune could’ve been the reason.

    New BMW owner. Thanks for the info. Probably a stupid question, but if I'm running a Stage 2, can I do a Transmission flash (protunning freaks has one) also, or is it one or the other at any given time?

    thanks for the video, great job.. Stage 2 in bm3 requires high flow DP and FMIC, did you upgrade your intercooler? If not and you do upgrade. Do you have to select another OTS map on bm3... thank you...

      @EthanReviewsGames 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      C Naz getting a FMIC is highly recommended for stage 2 due to the heat increase. I’m not sure where projectf30 lives, but f you live in a cold area some people say that you might be fine. Better to spend the extra cash to be safe.

    So just to confirm. If you go high flow catted/catless DP on the N20/N26 in Stage 2 this will delete the check engine light code, correct?

    Can you run JB4 in addition to BM3 for additional power and is it safe?

    • @projectf3075
      @projectf3075  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! You can use any of the BM3 maps as a backend flash. You just have to put JB4 on Map 4 and let BM3 do its thing. I am not well-versed in using them in conjunction, but I know that folks typically keep JB4 so they can run Methanol and have JB4 as a controller. You can also work with ProTuningFreaks and have them make a custom map that works together to squeeze all the power than they can out of the two.
      There are a few threads on bimmerpost.com and they explain how they use JB4 and BM3 in sync. May want to check that out! There are a few folks in the bootmod3 Enthusiasts group that also run the pair.
      I hope that helps!

      If you do keep both, it’s highly advised to get a custom tune. Most of the time when people go BM3, they remove the JB4

    • @projectf3075
      @projectf3075  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pratik Chowdhury they both play in the same ballpark, so there isn't a ton of benefit of keeping both, other than the CanBUS functionality and running WMI. To Bryan's point, most folks take it off. I did and I'm happy with my decision.

    What kind of power gains did you see with the stage 2 tune.

    • @EthanReviewsGames
      @EthanReviewsGames 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will Romero I believe it’s somewhere between 40-70 depending on the mods you have installed, fuel octane and which stage you choose.

    • @EthanReviewsGames
      @EthanReviewsGames 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve seen videos of m4s getting 80+ hp on stage 1, so it just completely depends on the car. With the n20 engine, you’re probably not going to get those kind of numbers.

    Do you have any check engine lights

    • @projectf3075
      @projectf3075  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      rick M no sir, no CELs. I would have one for the catless downpipe, but the Stage 2 codes the DP CEL out.

      ProjectF30 will do one last question how smell I ask because I have two little ones (kids) I don't want them to breathing gas or Gas's smells in the car

    • @projectf3075
      @projectf3075  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      rick M the only time it will smell is if you have a catless downpipe. If you have a catted downpipe, or a stock downpipe, it won't smell at all. Does this help?

    Can u have burble tune without any mods

    • @EthanReviewsGames
      @EthanReviewsGames 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      nameless Evox with stage 1 I still believe there’s a burble option, but it’s not going to be as noticeable. I’d recommend getting a catless downpipe if you don’t want to get a whole new exhaust system. I’m planning on going stage 2 with catless downpipe. And if I like it, I’ll leave it at that. If not I’m probably going to go with an axle back exhaust.

      I have an n26, what if I get a catted downpipe with my current 435i bmw sport dual exhaust. Would that still give me a nice burble? Should I be using stage1 or stage2?
