I had a very traumatic experience seeing The Exorcist when I was young. It was so scary that it gave me nightmares for weeks and I was afraid to be alone in the dark. Cheers Prof G!

Disney's worst problem is the disastrous Fox acquisition. Bob Iger was behind that. He seems to get all the credit for a few relatively smaller acquisitions and all the good things that happen, and none of criticism for the worst decision in Disney's history.

That is a lot of knowledge in the room. Thanks. Prof. AD's perspective on monopolies and pricing suggests to me a real political risk that anti-wealth populist politics in the U.S. and Europe risks breaking up monopolies with the effects of destroying value, businesses, GDP, and creating higher prices. Dalio discusses this risk: when politicians fueled by the angry unproductive mob who do not understand value creation engage in value destruction, but I think he understates how this is to the detriment of all.
That was the article which got Prof G played on the Apple TV WeCrashed show - and that's how I got into this youtube channel.

the GOAT returns
I actually still re-visit that WeWork blog post by Prof G wrote regularly. And I still laugh my ass off when I read the Good Prof talking about Adam Neuman's locks. No one except Pedigree Chum has described hair so eloquently.
The level of IQ combined in this show is astounding. But I still get a strange impression that these gentlemen completely ignore the struggle ahead for resources. Energy, metals and probably water and food are going to be a big issue in the near future. Maybe not this decade, especially in the US, but this next decade?
Or is it just built into this inflation assumption?
I wish people droning on about the Exorcist, as if it's a film made for adults or even in the slightest bit scary.

Airbnb has massive free cash flow so even if revenue growth levels out to mid single digits, they can buy back a ton of shares as the growth valuation they have been given (7-8x revs) comes down. No matter what, their FCF per share is going to rise and eventually the share price will catch up.
The Robotaxis thing is pure bs. People will try it out and stop using that service immediately because of how dirty their cars are going to come back. Ask Uber drivers and people who rent on Turo. Get off work and have to clean your clean before you go home? Stop dreaming.

It's al good but there is a thing. Tesla insurance probably is a good business if they insure their cars for less and they have less accidents. Less payments in claims, more profit margin...
I think the issue with Google is pedigree. Why would you finish working on a product to completion when you can say you are "ex-Google" and found a startup?
Tesla is going through the same problems as the legacy ones, high interest rates made all the cars unafforable.. once the interest rates start coming down, Tesla would be off to races once again... But if we must value Tesla at today's market conditions, even 85-90 would be slightly above normal valuation... even halving interest rates (present rates for cars to get halved) won't push the value to what is now ... and won't start going up until model offering triples, insurance rates come down to be similar to legacy cars, and servicing becomes more efficient and also comparable in costs... then only Trillion dollar plus valuation would be right
