from what i understood about the ndm line of bats is that it is different technology all around then the 2021 pures .. of which i have all of them and love them

Btw, about those textured barrels, i put non-slip floor finish on a wood bat and knuckled every single ball i hit. Attack angle becomes super important, more so than where on the ball you hit. If you go ted Williams and squarely hit at the ball's angle, you'll top spin everything or knuckle. If you hit under the ball but at the same angle, same story. You're swing plane gotta be significantly different than the ball's angle of approach
In games, with a guy throwing 12 foot loopers, i imagine it would be considerably more difficult to get solid contact, especially if the pitch has spin on it.
Could you guys also put up rankings on your website for non-testing usssa leagues? (Including 220 and 240 bats)

I don't see a lot of Pure bats being used here in Northern California. Wonder if it's an availability thing or just that players stick with the old school brands because they are familiar with them. Either way, I need to get my hands on one to see what the hype is all about.
I don’t see them much around here in Georgia either. Mostly Genesis, Worth/Miken, Easton, and now Suncoast in Utrip. I got to swing a few in October and was not a fan. They seemed to be all over the place in terms of consistency. Some ppl seem to love ‘em though.
Curious what you guys have to say about the new worth krecher short barrel. Hopefully you can review it soon.

so guys who buy these bats for tournaments, do they have to buy a new bat every time bc of the compression? It just seems so unsustainable
As long as you don’t use it in BP, and just use it for games you’ll probably get some decent longevity out of it if you have to compression test. But guys that play every week go through a lot of bats usually

I haven’t had good experience with Pure, but people love them. I can’t remember the model names but they were probably 2021 bats that I tried and they were brand new. Which would you recommend I try?

@@brucewayne9370 1 pc 220 genesis holds compression at 240~ for a long time; so doesn't really surprise me that they figured out the 240 tech

I always thought 44 & 47 cor balls were the harder balls and bat breakers. Not 40 cor
44 and 47 they just fly better adn more than the 40s thats all.
COR = Coefficient of Restitution. Essentially, if you shot a ball at 100mph at a wall and it rebounded at 52mph, that COR would be .52. So, the higher COR rebounds more and the lower COR rebounds the least. That's why Utrip bats are made with flexible barrels to create a rebound effect with harder balls and USA/ASA bats have rigid barrels to emulate that effect with softer, bouncy 52 COR balls. Compression though, is more important! The compression number of a ball is the psi it takes to compress the ball 1/4". So, the 400+ compression balls with low COR (Gold Dot Extremes) are super hard and are therefore bat breakers. Now, in cold weather, damn near any ball can break your shit haha
"Testing has shown two main things as it relates to softball COR and compression and on-field performance. First, a change from a .47 COR, 525 pound ball to a .44 COR, 375 pound ball decreases performance by up to 6%. All other things being equal, this means that a 305 foot home run using a .47 COR, 525 pound ball would be a 290 foot fly out using a .44 COR, 375 pound ball. Second, reductions in compression have a much greater impact in on-field performance than reductions in COR"

I’m playing in a league where they don’t test anything. It’s anything goes. I’m looking to buy a bat but don’t know what to buy. Any help on what the hottest and best bat for me to buy is?
If your league uses ASA balls (52/300) you want an ASA bat. I like Monsta Torch or Sinister. If your league uses USSSA balls (47/375 or 44/325) then you want a USSSA bat. In that case you could get this Pure, Worth/Miken, Easton, Slugger Genesis. I wouldn’t get a senior or SSUSA bat though unless you’re above the age limit. If they say all bats allowed then you are fine with 220 or 240 USSSA bats. They’re pretty much all good.
Mine’s got about 200 swings and still tests at 260
you either have a different bat or a bad tester lol
I believe @fatguybp also tested an NDM1 and 3 and both passed after 300 ish cuts.

@@dhalyk4569 nah, no bias. Pures are great bats. just fail 240 compression basically out of wrapper. thats why they adjusted the rule for 240 bats.
@@TheFallenValkyrie I understand the rule. Other reviews like BPHero and FATGUYBP have all said otherwise. Look...I have and swing a marshburn lol I like it. But these reviews have slightly changed if it's not a LS. Which is fine. To each their own.

What are the advantages of a shorter barrel? I’m a taller guy 6’0
@@boredtrophyhusband it’s personal preference tbh. Swings slightly different usually comes around quicker, but has a smaller sweet spot.
