- The Portuguese Final was held on February 24th at the Cinema Monumental in Lisbon, hosted by Fialho Gouveia & Manuela Moura Guedes. The winning song was chosen by the votes of 22 regional juries.
Manuela Bravo came 9th at the ESC. Tózé Brito was a member of the group Gemini that represented Portugal in ESC 1978.
