Just stumbled across your channel. Beautiful plants ❤ As for the roots of the Calathea: you can cut some of those water roots off, no need to destroy the nice pot. Plants can handle getting their roots cut better than we think. Also: water conditioner for fish. This is so much cheaper than distilled water. It treats your tap water immediately
Thank you, definitely lots to think about when the time comes to pot up. Luckily I’m still a ways off yet!!!😁 I did try aquarium conditioner about a year ago but the leaves were still crisping. Odd because it did the trick for my maranta but not this one. I’ll have to try again, maybe there were other factors causing the issues. I still have a couple of bottle laying around .
Hands down your variegated monstera stole the limelight!!!!! Gorgeous!! Your plants are simply healthy and beautiful, after seeing yours, maybe I shudn't repot mine at all.
Hi😊 I really like your video, plants 😍 art on your wall and love your clothig style 😊 They are very colorfull and interesting patterns 💚 Im really dont really care what people wearing.... in my closet you can find just all shades of black 😅 so yes, your cloths are very arty 😊💚 and kind of positive if can say like that 😊 Will be nice to see more of your videos.😊 Philodendron sp columbia 💚 amazing 💚💚💚 All the best 😊
14:20 it would take so much self control to not stare at that leaf all day. My goodness that is a happy anthurium; I'm still experimenting with finding the best medium but I'd definitely say you cracked the code! You couldn't have picked better plants for this video, they're all absolutely gorgeous 🙌
I’m so sorry that something so scary bad stressful happened to you, but I’m glad you’ve found plants. I agree, they really do ground us in a way that i hadn’t realized I was missing. So glad to have you here.
Thrilled you popped up on my feed. Nice varied collection. The Burroughs Tail is notorious for dropping its foliage; it’s normal. I’ve got over 150 various plants including cactus and succulents. New subscriber. Very good!
Thank you for being here, 150+, wow! I don’t have as many succulents as tropicals but I’m definitely slowly getting into them and trying to figure them out. The foliage drop on the burro’s tail is so stressful 😂
I love the Prince of Orange too. I have 2 or 3 bc of the bright orange new leaves which I love. The plant gets quite large and it is quite easy ss you said. Thank you for your video.
Beautiful collection!! For the silver dollar, what about a fan trellis? The branches look like they want to fan out and climb. PS, go get monetized :) congratulations on 1k subscribers!
Oooh, I never thought about that, great idea. You are right, they do want to fan out and climb. Guess I have to figure out where to put it after i trellis it😂
I'm looking forward to your vifro journey.. Presentation well done. Plants sre diverse and very healthy looking. I know everything does not look perfect all the time but it will be interesting to see how you tackle your any growing challenges. Your advice about the picky calathea is very welcome. Have a wonderful planty day!
I used to have a Burros Tail and it got to the point that I was so annoyed with the falling leaves that I literally just cut it up and threw it away. I had this plant for 6 years and I got rid of it in 2023. It’s actually pretty normal for it to drop leaves since this is its way of propagation. 😅
Like you I can’t stand picking up leaves even they drop😂😂😂😂. I’ve found that if I keep it by the south window and it gets masses of direct sun, it drastically reduces the leaf fall. I used to just put all the dropped ones back in to propagate, but it’s soooo full now I’ve stopped for the time being!
Your plants are GORGEOUS!!! Thank you😊 I do not own any philodendron or Anthurium or Monstera D ( Lack of space) but I really admire them. Love your Prince of Orange as well as both Monsteras. I acquired my Xerosicyos Dan guy I last year, I have been keeping it in front of a South facing window and it seems happy. Questions - How do you care for yours (because it’s Stunning) - Where do you keep it - Do you fertilize? - mine has this pattern, is it normal? It would start branching once it is a certain length the tip dry off then a new vine start to grow next to the top. That’s an unusual growth pattern I find.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! You are right, monstera just eats up the whole room! For my Xerosicyos Danguyi, I keep it right up against the south window. I water it every other day and I fertilize it once a week or so. It’s in a very small pot though so that might be a factor? I’ve found that if I underwater mine the growing tip will dry off and a new one will start next to it. So yes, to an extent I do notice that pattern but I think it might be because I need to up pot it to allow it to draw water more readily.
What a wonderful collection and they all look so happy! (new subscriber here) I love listening to your voice, so musical and expressive! Is your family from South Africa? A good friend of mine is SA and your voice reminds me of his.
Thank you!!! I love waiting for each new leaf on the Thai, it’s like a surprise party everytime, I love never knowing exactly what each new leaf will look like!
This happens to mine too. I usually up the watering when it is working on a new leaf. Try to shower the whole plant when you water or you can just mist the unfolding leaf a few times a day and that should help.
The Burro’s tail is absolutely gorgeous!!
Thank you, it’s definitely my favorite!

Thank you!!! Definitely a lot of trial and error, but I have finally realized that tree fern fibre gives me the best results with my anthuriums.
The burro’s tail is gorgeous
Thank you!!
I totally agree.
I'm new to the plant world. It serves as a rehabilitation thing for me. I had a stroke in 2018.
I’m so sorry that something so scary bad stressful happened to you, but I’m glad you’ve found plants. I agree, they really do ground us in a way that i hadn’t realized I was missing. So glad to have you here.
Um, hello?!?! Feel like I just hit the jackpot stumbling across this video! 😂 So happy to see you posting on here!

LOVE ALL OF THEM!!!!!!! I have only been to My Bonita Gardens once, but I will be going again.
Thank you so much. I love My Bonita Gardens, I need to get back there soon!
New sub great collection. It always amazes me seeing anthuriums in cold environments. Kudos to you! Great collection!
Thank you so much, I’m glad you are enjoying it. I’ve also been so pleasantly surprised to see how well the anthuriums are coping with this weather.
YOUR PRINCE OF ORANGE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL WOW.

I subscribed! Great stuff lady!
Thank you!!! I’m so glad you are enjoying it!
I don’t move my burros tail either if I can help it, but losing leaves and throwing them back in the pot has made mine way bushier, so there’s that 😅
That’s true, silver lining!!!
I clicked for the plants, but I'm staying for that beautiful wall paper in the shot with your anthurium.
Thank you, so happy to have you here! Would you believe either isn’t wallpaper? It’s stencil. I painted the wall black and stenciled over it in gold!
@@Monefsjungle that's so creative!

Thank you!!! So glad it was helpful, good luck with the Calathea!
New sub here from Spokane Valley Wa 😊 I just ran across a seedling plant company, I do like the idea, even though, they can be finicky about sprouting 😊
There is something so satisfying about nurturing something so tiny into a massive plant ?🌱

The Burro tail is nice.. I cant grow that to save my soul!!!😢
Thank you!!! Luckily I have an extremely sunny window otherwise it would be tough!
What a wonderful collection and they all look so happy!

Thank you, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! My family is actually British Nigerian so my accent is definitely all over the place!💚
@@Monefsjungle Oooh that makes sense. 😊

My Prince has trouble with the leafs unfolding ,I just cut them off any suggestions?😢

Thai Con.is my fav❤
I have such a soft spot for it too!
Get yourself some aquarium water conditioner and you won't have to use distilled water anymore! Just a few drops and you're good to go!
That is a great idea!
I have some lying around, have definitely used it on my maranta with no issue, I’ll give it another try on this one, thank you!!!
Why don’t you put the Michelle in a cover pot with a little water reserve
It has a cover pot, but you are right? I might add a little water reservoir to see if it helps!
