Hi Norma. Wow! Thank you for very generous comment! Better than Rick Steves, huh?! 😀 Glad you enjoyed and be sure to check out our other guides on Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Paris if you happen to be in those areas too.
As someone that works at one of the Amsterdam museums, I would like to add that it’s wise to always book your museum tickets in advance. Amsterdam is very popular with tourists, and tickets to the hotspots go very quickly. Save yourself some stress and disappointment, and book your tickets on the websites of the museums.
I second this suggestion, especially if you want to visit Anne Frank’s secret annex: I’ve been to the city twice, and both times I was unable to get tickets, so it’s best to book early, before you think you should
Wow, thank you! Amsterdam is such a fantastic destination. Have a wonderful trip ✈️ if you have an opportunity & you are there during Tulip season head to the Keukenhof Gardens th-cam.com/video/PgOU88T_UDU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=trr5ojViwXv4dYv1
Thank you for watching we really appreciate it. I will pass on the nice comment to my hubby he works so hard at the presentation of our videos. Thanks again 😎
Glad it was helpful! I will definitely let my hubby know, he spends a ton of time doing the research and trying to get all the details in our videos so that someone could just use our videos to plan a trip. Thanks again for watching.
You have definitely the best informational video about planning a trip to Amsterdam that I have seen so far in TH-cam. GREAT JOB!!! Thank you....By the way, your name brought me good memories of our four years living in Phoenix AZ.
Ahhhhh thanks for the nice comment. Comments like that keep us motivated to continue to make videos. We also did a couple of videos of the Keukenhof Gardens & Rotterdam- if you are interested in exploring some places near Amsterdam check those out. Thanks again for the support 😎
Great information, well presented 👍 I was in Amsterdam for 4 days last week & agree 100% to your tipps! In general this city is a "must see" place to go...
This is a great travel guide. I will be visiting Amsterdam in June/July and this gave me a really good idea of the layout of the City and the activities that appeal most to me. I love how you grouped them by geographical location.
The historic centre of Amsterdam has about 100 km. of canals and more than 1500 bridges. In the 17th - beginning 19th century Amsterdam was at some point even the biggest city in Europe ! as you mentioned. Due to the fact that the city became poor, the historic centre wasn't build over in the industrial times of the 19th-century. So now it still has the biggest historic 17th centure centre in Europe. In some parts you litterally walk exactly as Rembrandt saw it. Outside the historic centre A'dam is bigger ofcourse (the city now has over 900.000 inhabitants, (metropolean area about 2 and a half million, and the randstad about 7 million) Fun fact. The 17th century houses had (so still have) very large windows , not to be seen in other historic cities in Europe. It still is a Dutch thing to build houses with large windows Very nice vid you made b.t.w. *!* 🌹
Glad it was helpful! If you have a chance get to Keukenhof Gardens for the tulips. We did 2 videos on our channel dedicated to that. It’s an incredible garden over 100 million bulbs 🌷
Hi Dominique. Thank you for the kind comment. Appreciate it. Please keep watching! * check out our Rotterdam and Antwerp videos too if you might be in those areas!
Hi Nandhu. Wow! Thank you for such a stellar comment. Really appreciate your comment and please keep watching. BTW we also have guides on nearby Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Paris. Lisbon is coming up soon as well.
@@scottsdaletravelchick Pleasure is mine and I did last weekend trip to Amsterdam. The trip plan was i got from your video. It was amazing and memorable trip. Thankyou both of you for sharing the video.
I'm impressed. The quality of the footage, the voice over and the great amount of acurate (historical) information in your video is truely remarkable. Just one thing.... Zaanse Schans is not really a well preserved village. It's a historical open-air museum est. in 1963 to preserve National Monuments of wooden buildings and industry from the Zaanstad region. The buildings and windmills, though authentic, were moved there from other locations.
Hi Myikzeif! Thank you for the nice comments on our video and clarification on Zaanse Schans. As you so nicely recognized, we always try to make our videos informative and fun w some local history and background worked in. Glad you enjoyed! Check out our other videos on nearby Rotterdam and Antwerp. Maybe you have some useful advice on those too!

This video makes me laugh. You've done great work researching history about Amsterdam and the Netherlands, but you can't even get the name of the country right.

Best travel guide for Amsterdam on TH-cam. Thanks much. Yes I watched them all. You beat Rick Steve’s guide!

Do you recommend a hotel to stay at?
Yes we stayed at the Hilton
We did a hotel review for the Hilton there in Amsterdam on our channel. Search Scottsdale travel chick Hilton Amsterdam.
Great city
Is very good job
Nice video may I come netherland
Very informative. Very enjoyable. However, you keep saying Holland when you mean Netherlands. Holland is only one province, not the country.
Rules for new Dutch tourists:
1. Stay out of the bike lanes
2. See rule #1. lol
I wish the Dutch people all the best in the world and their next years without any virus in their country
Yes me too!!!!! It’s such a beautiful country!!!!! One of our favorites we head back there in the Fall again
Best thing to do in Amsterdam: take the train to the Hague.
So much to see & do in Amsterdam! We are going again this fall.
Copenhagen has more bikes than Amsterdam. Good video, nonetheless.
That’s not true actually

Don’t waste time on the false Heineken tour.
They brew their beer outside Amsterdam.
People, please don’t come to Amsterdam. It is way too crowded. We live here. Don’t come Amsterdam is ugly go somewhere else. Please.
